Fan_S.
Hi, Bomber, when you get a chance can you provide (for standard tuning only) the chords for the verses of (not the intro) The Rain Song? I'm sorry but I like standard tuning. It may seem stupid but I think I'll break my strings if I use alternate tunings too much. Also, it's laziness. lol Thanks, Bomber. All I need is one verse. Thanks, again, Bomber!
Fan_S.
Good night, Bomber. Oh, and one more thing: I mainly love to use my classical (gut string).

BonzoLikeDrumer
Cool!!! I've got a book that I refer to a lot with 12,000 + chords in it, I'm sure they are all in standard tuning.
Xtazy
It's not too hard to figure them out if you have some music theory basics and you know some scales... Anyhow, good luck with using all those chords in your own song !
Fan_S.
Okay, thank you! I guess I'll take a look at my "fake" book for Led Zeppelin. Love that book! Too bad it only has The Rain Song for alternate tuning, but I'll figure it out slowly. Again, thanks everyone.

The Bomber
Hi, Bomber, when you get a chance can you provide (for standard tuning only) the chords for the verses of (not the intro) The Rain Song? I'm sorry but I like standard tuning. It may seem stupid but I think I'll break my strings if I use alternate tunings too much. Also, it's laziness. lol Thanks, Bomber. All I need is one verse. Thanks, again, Bomber! Am right on it.I will have a transposition ready and on this thread ASAP. Good night, Bomber. Oh, and one more thing: I mainly love to use my classical (gut string). Awesome!!!Gut strings have a great sound, not a great feel, and not meant for detuning really, not below Drop D anyway.

The Bomber
Hi Bomber, You are a true gent, have one on me mate. Regards, Danny No problem,Dan,make sure you get some value out of these chords!I just started teaching guitar and I'm tailoring myself to suit students,so any questions about any chords are much appreciated,If you have any problems with fingering or whatever,or want to voice it differently, just ask,I want to improve my teaching abilities,I teach chords first to beginners, but there are some weird chords here that I can show even advanced players. So,if,like Fan_s you want a transposition or something, ask!

Hi Bomber and thanks again, Where to start, well i'm not gifted, i'm self taught, i cant keep time very well, and i mostly play Zepp songs, i have arthritis in both hands now and its getting worse, and i'm also old, blind, bald, fat and ugly, and i have trouble with my fingering abilities, (Wife can verify) can you help? On the plus side i have a wicked sense of humour, almost live on this forum, am very clean and tidy, dont smell (much), am willing to learn and try anything (within reason) new. I also have a Fret Light Guitar which is wicked when you play it in the dark, and also helps with chords, scales and notations, best musical thing i ever brought. Fan_S.
Hi, Bomber! I agree--you are a true gent! Those great lists of chords you provided will be my frequent reference for fancy chords like G5, A5, Bb5 etc.! BTW do you transpose for musical theatre too? (Broadway tunes?) Regards, Danny Play the simpler chords, power chords, being atonal, will do for just about anything. As for solos, slide, don't bend, the average bend is a two fret slide. If you can't keep time, play slow, play it slow repeatedly until you have it NAILED at that speed, then faster.Or you could play with a metronome. (Ideally,do both) Arthritis is a bitch, but it can be overcome - Look at Les Paul, play less elaborate licks. Blindness - Too many musicians to list. Even deafness isn't a problem for some! Good luck practicing, ever need an easy version of a chord just ask.
Fan_S.
Hi! Me again. Hey Bomber, I meant "transcribe" for musical theater, not "transpose". Sorry.

Thanks again Bomber, I'm seeing a top doctor in a weeks time, the other one said Arthritis, it could also be Carple Tunnell Syndrome, Tendonitis, or an heriditary problem, all i know it that it hurts like hell for a while then subsides, i'm on Tramadol 200mg whenever i feel the need, but the truth is i would rather have the pain than being tranquilised all the time. I practice every day as much as i can, i know i aint gonna be no Jimmy, Jimi, or Eric, but seeing as its only for my own pleasure now who cares how good i am? Still seeing as i'm the only one in the family who trys playing an instrument i feel as though i have accomplished something already. As far as Les Pauls concerned, well at the moment i cant even hold down a bar with my left index finger, it too painful and swollen, but i get by with some of my own tricks, as you said, i break the chords down so i only play what is needed, works OK for me. But at the end of the day i''m happy playing with what i've got and with what i do, and thats all that counts. Regards, Danny

Zoso2112
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hendrix_chord Another Hendrix Chord would be [3 X 5 0 3 5] You can slide this one around.
