Argenteum Astrum
Would anybody be able to tell me how much destroyer is worth? Incomplete or not, thanks It depends first on what is the condition, then which version you have. It may be worth of $$ if you had a luck. Sue Dounim
I have none because I'm too young to get any vinyl boots. Everything except for my copy of 'In the Court of King James' is on a computer.
billyst
TSP is still producing vinyl. You aren't too young. Here's a site with the list of Vinyl that generally available from Europe although I haven't seen any new stuff in the past six months or so. http://www.swinginpigrecords.de/LP_Serie%202007/Tabelle_2.html Edited January 7, 2013 by billyst

And there are more than enough vinyl bootlegs easily to be found on sites like Ebay.
the body electric
In the late 70's/early 80's there was a legendary record store in downtown Tempe called Roads To Moscow. One day I asked the owner if he had any more Zeppelin vinyl coming in and he began to look around nervously. He pulled out a milk crate full of boots and said "Don't tell anyone." That day I bought the original Destroyer. Six months later I stop in the store and every rack, and I mean every one, had been magically transformed to bootlegs. Almost all by Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and the Stones. And some Beatles. I bought the first two Knebworths. I took a break from buying boots, taken aback by the horrendous sound of the Knebworth lps. I was soon back on track after buying an amazing recording of one of the original The Wall performances. I do mean amazing. Soon thereafter I bought My Brain Hurts, Bonzo's Birthday Party, Montreal '75 (with cover featuring HR Giger of Alien fame, along with a an image of (I assume) Giger reclining next to one of his images. Bizarre.), and Bonzo's Last Stand. In The Light since 1972. Trampled Under Foot. chillumpuffer
I only have left Earls Court. Single LP from the 24th (I think). The one with Woodstock lifted from Dazed I used to own quite a few but sold most to buy drugs in the 80's. I also sent the Red Devil version of "No Quarter" Earls Court to be auctioned for Jimmy Pages charity. It raised 50 english pounds

The Montreal '75 is by the Phoenix Records guys in NSW in Australia...I also have their Seattle '73 release which also has a Giger cover. Sue...you are never too young for vinyl. jb126
Ebay. I've picked up a few on there for relatively good prices, from about $10-25. If you spend some time looking for them, waiting for the right auction, you can get a good deal. The few that I have found in a record store were priced around $50 for mudslide, and $120 for half of Badgeholders. Anyone have any good tips for Sue to find a record player (see her post #34)? Ebay also? I think I've seen posts here and there about people finding record players at yard(garage) sales.

Glyn
I've got Mudslide, Blueberry Hill (one of the many versions), BBC Sessions, and V 1/2 (Seattle 1973-07-17) and they are all pretty good, with Mudslide probably being my favorite. As far as finding a record player...you can buy one off of ebay but you have to be careful. Some sellers do not know how to ship a turntable and it ends up getting destroyed in the mail. Not all sellers are incompetent though. Yard/Garage/Estate sales would be the best option to find a working one. Chances are they might also have an amp with a phono stage (which you will need) or whole stereo unit. Thrift store ones are usually missing the counter weight, cartridge/stylus, or need a new belt. It isn't too hard to find one cheap, and they are generally pretty easy to get set up and running
Melcórë
I don't own any vinyl boots, but I almost bought a copy of Blueberry Hill (not sure which label/if it had one) at a flea-market. The guy wanted something like $40 for it.

It is great and plugs straight into the amp so no need for a pre amp. Amazon sold it and it cost be @ 100 quid
Lara Croft
I have Last Lead.. only one other person I ever heard of has this also. I bought it from a milk crate at the market in my teens. the guy told me I am very lucky and it is special.. In my teens my sister let idiots into my room. I think I had two bootlegs.. one got stolen and I knew who it was and went to his house with my bicycle to cry to his nasty dad who treated me like shit and would not let me look and I had to guess what was stolen.. it took me years even to this day I remember albums I had and i get mad...music lover... but Last Lead.. he did not touch because it was maybe not have been obovious who it was to the idiot. Still wondering why I can never find this anywhere would give it to Jimmy Page if he wants it. I had no idea what it was..just felt special. I must have only listened to it twice in my life. Strider
Calling all bootleg experts. I scored this baby tonight. As you can see it is the well-known Toasted Records release of the March 4, 1975 Dallas soundboard. Toasted Records was an Australian bootleg label active in the 1980s. This was one of the bootlegs that was stolen from me years ago so I was happy tonight to find a replacement at the record shop. And for only $35. But then I got home and opened it and instead of the usual Toasted Records labels on the records, there were Amazing Korneyfone (TAKRL) labels on both discs. WTF? Naturally, I assumed the discs were probably from another show and possibly another band and someone (either the previous owner or one of the record store employees) simply inserted them in the Toasted Records Led Zeppelin album sleeve by mistake. I put on the records to hear what was on the wax. Lo and behold...it was the March 4, 1975 Dallas soundboard exactly as listed. The song titles and timings matched exactly as listed on Discogs and various Zeppelin bootleg sites and guides. I checked the Matrix #s in the deadwax and it matched the Toasted Records Matrix #: TRW 1998 A-B-C-D. So what is the deal with the TAKRL labels? I checked my 1987 edition of Robert Godwin's collecting Led Zeppelin book. To my astonishment he does not have any listing for any Dallas 1975 releases. Zero. I checked as many websites as I could find and there is no mention of TAKRL releasing the 3/4/75 Dallas soundboard. Discogs has a list of every TAKRL release and Dallas 1975 is not one of them. I'm not complaining. I bought the record wanting and expecting the March 4, 1975 soundboard and that is what I got. But how does a bootleg have labels from a bootleg label that never released it? And has anyone come across this before? Edited June 11, 2021 by Strider
duckman
I'm afraid the recuperation of older boot albums has become standard practice after the vinyl revival. I too found several of the classic 70' late 80 vinyl boots popping up in several collector's stores. Purely for sentimental reasons I bought a copy of Earl's Court (originally on LZL Europe) five years ago...exact the same cover, different label though. The original Toasted, Swinging Pig, Scorpio and all the other 70/80 (and 90)'s labels are of course defunct. Those entrepreneurs are all granddads by now, (like me😇) Edited June 11, 2021 by duckman
