Hi Mangani,

Somebody has to lose mate, and being as we are much better at it than yourselves lets leave it as it is, one Trophy every 25 years or so is quite enough for us you know? i think we are due 2 or 3 by now. :gimmefive:

I would always root for West Ham to win over any other London club. I think most Liverpool fans feel the same.

Still havent forgiven the poor decision made by the referee when he allowed your goal while Sammy Lee was lying in an offside position in front of our goal, 1981, at Villa Park,

Poor Sammy. Lying prostrate there on the pitch not interfering with play and still some folks think the goal should not have been given. :P

and only 36,693 turned up, all Hammers fans if i remember correctly, something to do with the dole checks being late that week in Liverpool due to a postal strike.

You are forgeting they needed to save up for the away leg against Bayern Munich in the European Cup semi final a week or two later. The dole cheques had to go on that....then there was the final itself in Paris againt Real Madrid. Really harsh being a Liverpool fan in those days what with all the expense. Trust me, you wouldn't have liked it. :D

Still i think our Great record will stand the test of time, cant see any English club beating that Record, ever, you the one i mean dont you?

1964, FA Cup Winners

1965, European Cup Winners Cup Winners

1966, World Cup Winners

Certainly was a fantastic one that. I definitely applaud it. Yikes, when you think of it, London clubs ruled Europe more than the northern boys initially. I believe Spurs were the first winners of a European trophy from England, weren't they?

Have a Truly Great Season and come away with some Silverware mate.

Kind Regards, Danny

I don't have my hopes set high. What will be will be. Chelsea will be the team for Liverpool to overcome, in my opinion.

LIVERPOOL, of course!! I used to live near Anfield!

Man Utd . . . tsk . . . . :P

Oh wow. Cool. I didn't know you were a Liverpool fan. Maybe you told me but I forgot. Where near Anfield did you live? I might know the street. My dad was born on Venmore Street, which comes out at the back of the Kop.

You really did get around didn't you? :D

Can't remember the name of the street now--it was *ahem* quite a long time ago. I was at Liverpool Uni at the time, mostly because I was a fan of Liverpool FC and John Peel! :D

Before that I lived just off Penny Lane!
