Currently my husband are restoring a 1963 Sante Fe travel trailer so we can go camping hopefully next year.

Nice! :D

If you pass through Vegas on your way to Lake Mead, do give us a call! ;)

BTW, my girlfriend is a beading addict!

A few moments looking at your sig Tang has me feeling like a nap! *calls* Cabana boy, my mojito has gotten a bit watery. May I have a fresh one please? Mmmmm! Thanks! Charge it to my hut.

It's a theme :) peace and tranquility. The kind of life i want to live on a daily basis. After a refreshing swim... a comfy lounge chair, my CD walkman, and a Strawberry Daiquiri would be nice... maybe a nap, too B) I would love "summertime" to be my hobby, because i am going to miss it so much!

I'm living in the high desert. Summertime can kiss my ass!!

Course, we don't get the winter like you do! Though I did get a real taste spending August through January in Wisconsin! I still have my winter tires on and my ice scraper behind the seat! Jettisoned the sandbags though! ;)

Our last two winters were mild. Not even enough snow that i needed to shovel last year. Temps did dip into the single digits a few times. Still, even with the mild winter, i get the blues, and i'm not looking forward to them.

My life could have been different. When i was five my dad took the family to live in Las Vegas for one year on company business. I loved living there and often wonder how life would have been if dad had opted to stay there. I have pics of me in the desert, and my god, my blonde hair turned white! I have always wanted to live in the West. Clint Eastwood can vouche for me, lol.

Clint Eastwood lives in temperate Monterey Bay, hon. His spaghetti westerns were filmed in Spain! ;)

I used to live in Santa Cruz (well actually in the redwoods above the town. Boulder Creek, Felton...) at the top of the Monterey Bay crescent. Paradise! My back porch wound down to a three foot deep San Lorenzo River, right past the fish hatchery, so I could literally walk across the river into the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Did the trail to the observation deck almost every day after work (man I had some calf muscles back then!) Got back, pulled off my boots, rolled up my pants and walked across the river to my back freaking porch! No lie! I wish I could get back there! How many times do you get blessed with something like that? Used to leave the back door wide open. Till I woke up and found a deer in my kitchen!! True story!

...and you JUST made fun of my mojito drinking!

...and Ev, I LIVE IN THE HIGH DESERT...you live in the low, hot desert. ;)

My hobbies include reading, walking, biking, gardening. I used to do needlepoint quite a bit, but since I went back to school a few years ago, that's dropped off.

I guess my internet addiction could be considered a "hobby" too.

Lately it's been Farm Town on Facebook :) I also read a lot (mostly mysteries) and enjoy doing counted cross stitch, although usually I just do that in fall/winter. I don't know if running would be considered a hobby; but I'm doing that 3-4 times a week too.

Hi Evester, i know where Clint lives :) well the vicinity, i mean. I became a big fan of Clint when i was ten (and they were his spaghetti westerns i first loved). Clint is the "man" i most associate California with. Growing up i had a beautiful poster on my bedroom wall (amidst all the rockers) of the 17 mile drive. My interest in California was started because of Clint. It got even deeper when at eleven, as i became a Zeppelin fan, i heard this beautiful song "Going To California". Became a teenage dream to live there.

Sounds like you have been lucky to live in such wonderful places! Deer in the kitchen sounds hilarious, but i guess you should have expected some wildlife to wander in, lol. I am still hoping to take a nice month long vacation in California in the next couple of years. I do still wonder where i might have wound up if my dad had kept us in the West.

Virginia, i think you can add carpooling to your list of hobbies :) :)
