Charlie!! Talk about memories. I have the Zebra album, the only one they made as far as I know. We used to go see them at Old Man Rivers. Randy, Felix and Guy.... OMG --the nights we all partied. This band was great!!

Charlie, I think I am going to make it to the weekend of October 17th to see them. I have rearranged my schedule to do this..i just have to catch up with them, see them/Randy play again. If I don't see them in October it will be January before I am back in NY...can't wait that long.

I was told this was actually written about N.C.

A bit of romance never hurt anyone....

The only reason i'm commenting on this is because Neil Diamond is the only celebrity my mom has ever been in love with (and she has loved him since his start and has seen him in concert probably 20 times over the decades). This is a link to the meaning of the song: http://www.npr.org/blogs/bryantpark/2007/11/neil_diamond_reveals_inspirati.html It's not called sweet Carolina, :)

Cousins name was Caroline.

She's dead now. She died from ovarian cervical cancer and was on pretty heavy medications.

She was the biggest Diamond fan going. I am not, I do know what I was told though this is for certain :D

I never said it was called Sweet Carolina. I suggest you listen to the song vewy vewy carefully.

Caroline Kennedy is a good explanation btw :P

I didn't say the song is called Sweet Carolina, i said it isn't (as in if it was written about North Carolina is would be called Sweet Carolina (oh nevermind, lol)... that one went way over your head. icon6.gif

The explanation isn't mine, it's from the songwriter.
