He felt the time was right and wanted to give the loyal fans what they have craved for years and give the new generation of fans coming up an experience of a lifetime. It is confirmed that Jimmy Page and Robert Plant paid a suprise visit to the Led Zeppelin Forum members private party Wednesday Night. When the men entered the room fans gave them a standing ovation with cheers, Let's just say IT GOT LOUD! The fans were suprised, shocked and amazed to have this intimate time with these band members. Jimmy Page arrived in a black suit with that classic smile and immediatly starting making his way around the room to talk to the many fans. Then later in the evening he escorted the Forum Members musicians to a private area and spent a solid hour with them. The Forum fans musicians: BonzoLikeDrummer,Ronniedawg, Evster2012, danelectro, kashmire96, Zoso2012, ledzep45, Sick Tangerine, Fan S, frankb, Reggie29, Hots on for nowhere, redeyedrichard, Roblindlad. LedZep75, and JimmypageZoso56 were amoung the few to share this honored opportunity. The pagettes were said to be in awe at the presence of Jimmy. Robert Plant arrived in jeans also began to immediately work the room and talking with the fans on many subjects. Photo opportunities were abundant with both powerhouses. While Jimmy was taking time with the musicians, Robert continued to talk with the fans. The ladies were heard repeating "still the whole package" and something to the effect of "squeezing lemons". We are trying to confirm the meanings behind these. Emergency Medical Technicians were on standby as the band thought of everything for their fans parties. They reported no incidents however one paramedic stated, "The oxygen tanks were depleted by mostly the female fans." Some were reported to need oxygen a few times! The male Forum members were total gentlemen and did their best to keep the female fans calm by offering any service they could provide! We have stated this for days now...seems to be a close group of people that this bands music has brought together.We can only conclude that last night was a late one as we could not locate the majority of members throughout the day. Stores have reported that aspirin and bandages were flying off the shelves. Hotel Managers had to order bagged ice as the ice machines were emptied at at alarming rate as well. We will try to uncover the reasons behind this and get back to you. We are now less than 24 hours from the opening night of The Mighty Zeppelin at the Bell Centre here in Montreal. After a quite day with fans resting up from last night, the city has awaken again! Words cannot describe the atmosphere here.This bands music will live on and on. We have talked to a few Forum members who said their parents raised them on Led Zeppelin, while some have been fans for four decades. As reporters we have never witnessed the amount of loyalty, respect and devotion we have seen displayed this past week. Forum fans are at the final party and rumours began late last night that John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham will be showing up tonight to spend time with their fans.Since Monday each night the excitment has continued to build and build to tomorrow night at 9:00PM when The Mighty Zeppelin take the stage! Most of the fans are planning another late night and are excited to spend time with JPJ and Jason. We believe the message here is there is NO COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN between this band and it's ocean of fans! It wasn't only the Pagettes who were in awe! 20 hour flight via L A and Vancouver and I was knackered when I arrived at the hotel. I had a nap and then headed for the party. We were talking about our concert experiences, us oldies about our Zeppelin gigs and the youngens who were just champing at the bit to get to the show. The booze was flowing and we "drank our health a thousand times" when they just walked in. At first, for a split second you could have heard a pin dropped and then pandemonium broke out. Jimmy and Robert worked the room chatting and remarking how some had travelled from all over the planet to gather as one. I didn't know what to expect even though they aren't your usual "Rock Stars" it was like meeting a long lost family member for the first time. In fact they were very down to earth and were blown away by the response. I and I suppose all of us, were surprised when Jimmy ushered us into this room full of guitarss and conducted his Master Class. Anyway Ev and a few of the other accomplished player were picking up on everything Jimmy was demonstrating while offering encouragement and some insider tips! Let me say this, there is no truth in the rumour that BonzoLikeDrummer plans to have Jason abducted so he can pick up the sticks in his stead as he suggested he could if needs be! While all this was going on Robert was holding court with the ladies who were hanging on every word. Safe to say he got out of there in one piece! An experience we'll never soon forget. John Paul Jones and John Bonham, Jasons father were the driving force behind the rhythm of the music of LED ZEPPELIN. JPJ has always been known to be the more reserved of the band members. When both men walked in dressed very casual, the fans went crazy. The building was vibrating from the applause while their legendary song No Quarter was played! JPJ like Jimmy Page spent time as a studio session musician and arranger before joining the powerhouse THE MIGHTY ZEPPELIN. A calm and intelligent man, he was the only member with classical training. Never worried about his image or recognition he is called a musicians musician. He currently has his own project, THEM CROOKED VULTURES and most of the Led Zeppelin fans support these members as they continue with their own projects. JOHN PAUL JONES took time to speak with everyone and camaras were out in full force. JPJ has stated he didn't mind being in the background...well last night, HE WAS FRONT AND CENTER! JASON BONHAM after talking with everyone, had a little suprise for the fans. Around 11:00PM last night a curtain opened to a drumset on a circular stage and as Jason went to the drums the stage began to turn clockwise as he played a tribute solo to his father the late JOHN BONHAM. There were emotions from one spectrum to another during this event. While the fans went crazy watching this tribute and talent that has been passed on from father to son, there were also quite a few tears in the crowd as the older Led Zeppelin fans remembered their beloved JOHN BONHAM.During the solo, the room was filled with screens of different scenes of his father. The fans love and adore Jason and follow his career as well. He learned from BONZO, so the connection is still felt with the fans. What an emotional night! The fans felt sheer joy and ecstasy while respectfully remembering the GLORY of JOHN BONHAM and seeing him thru Jason. JOHN BONHAM is still known today as the greatest drummer of all times. We are less than 7 hours away from the opening event. The city of Montreal is busting at the seams! Large screen TV's have been strategically placed throughout the city due to the volume of fans who have showed up. These fans numbers are so large it is like an ocean! Many of the Forum members have agreed to sit down with us tomorrow and share their feelings on this amazing event as LED ZEPPELIN takes center stage at 9PM tonight! There is a palatable sense of electricty hanging in the air in and around the Bell Centre in Montreal. The arena is quickly filling to capacity as the first of two opening acts are set to take the stage in about 15 minutes. Michael Myers, of Austin Powers fame, and a proud Canadien, just made a brief welcoming announcment from the stage. It is thought a comedian was chosen to help take away some of the intense pressure band and audience alike must feel on such a momentous occasion - "...the North American return of Led Zeppelin". The arena is nearly full. There will be a ten minute break while they set up for the next and final opening act who accepted Robert's offer to play tonight when they spoke backstage at the Rockwell event a week or so ago.
