Watched 'Rome:Open City.' Anna was machine gunned by the Nazi's in the street. There were also 2 traitorous bitches involved.

Film: Rom offene Stadt

Anna is Mamma Roma...nay, she is Madre Italia.

Quarantine Cinema Day 25.

Three movies that have key scenes take place in underground sewers and tunnels.

All 'underground' classics. :)  Richard Basehart was killed by Anthony Quinn in 'La Strada.'

And........See your dentist. 😁

Watched this tonight. I saw it on TV back in '68. (Damn.....52 years ago.....😕)  The image and sound isn't that great, but it's the real thing with guys being wounded and killed, but also funny to watch the men play football in the thick mud. Also, care and compassion for the poor villagers who got caught in the middle.

I just recorded this last week. Watched the first 15 min , then the kids came in. I'll probably finish up tonight. I can't believe I haven't seen this in its entirety.   I could tell right off the top it's a classic John Carpenter score!

I loved it when they caught the barracks spy. Peter Graves. Have to check for Battle Royale. Hunger Games bored me to tears. Also caught 'He Walks By Night' the other night. Hell of a shootout in the L.A. sewers.

Currently watching this.......

If they were good enough to get the Greatest Generation through the Depression, they are good enough for today.

Astaire-Rogers is always a good choice.  Swing Time is my favorite.
