No telling really, I remember the song book that the guitar player in my old band back in the early 1980's had with sheet music and word's. That's been a few years ago and I don't remember how much was covered in it but I think Trampled Under Foot was in it with the words. There is a lot of stuff on the web! And some of it you can trust but a lot of it is troll's worth. I'd think that the old book that we used back in the day was the real deal, but I don't have and have not seen it in two decades so I can't say if what you found is right or wrong but if you can find that old book you would have the right words for sure. Even if you can be sure of any russian song's lyrics, it doesn't neccessarily apply to english songs, as Russian and English are very different langauges and the pronounciation systems are very different. And there are also the way Robert Plant sings and the producing of some Zeppelin songs (for example Carouselambra, the vocal part is kinda buried under the instrumental part). And please calm down. So Yuri, you mean that all Russian singers pronounce the text to thier songs so that everyone can understand every word that they are singing? There are a lot of songe in English, from a lot of differant bands, that certain texts are hard to understand. I am 51 and I still, to this day, realize that I have been misinterpreting some texts to some songs. In fact there is a thread in Ramble On on that subject. You might want to look it up. Whether you're a native speaker or not, it's very difficult to transcribe any language that's being slightly distorted when it's being sung to music, and where there are many different accents, and although I don't speak Russian, I'd bet the same applies. And, is on CD most likely converted in the 1980's or 1990's where ever they mastered it. Only studios listed in the credits are Headley Grange, Ronni Lane's (Mobile), Olympic & Sterling, all in the UK if I'm correct. Yuri, I think what you are not understanding is that Robert Plant's vocals are somewhat unintelligible at times; no matter how many times you listen to the song you will have a difficult time translating what he sang. Sometimes he even slurs his words -- but it is my guess this is done to fit in with the music. That is, I believe in some songs he wanted his vocals to be another instrument to blend in with the music. He takes "poetic license" with the pronunciation of his lyrics sometimes. Until Robert Plant releases a book with his Zeppelin lyrics (which most likely will NEVER happen), we will never know for sure what he is singing. He has even commented (probably as a joke) that he doesn't remember what he sang in some parts of some Zeppelin recordings. Guess Robert will take his lyrics to the grave with himself when he passes on, and certain lyrics will remain an eternal mystery (and don't get me started on what is being sung for the last line of the first verse of "The Ocean."
