Thanks Rover, I love this stuff, and will be using my trusted telescope! I am fortunate to live where there are no street lights, so the sky is always beautiful here (when there are no clouds).

They say, that the best way to view Meteor Showers is with a low power telescope, or, just binoculars, reclining in a lounge chair... with some good music playing in your ipod ! :)

I saw a couple of meteors streaking across the sky tonight.

They were fast. Orange color.

Lyrid Shower this morning, with peak between 4-6 am local time (Monday morning). Generally look in the SE sky.

But the Moon's light will probably obliterate all but the very brightest of meteors.

Kinda hopeless in the Pacific Northwest. sad.gif

But last summer we saw the big Perseids shower. We layed on a mattress in the yard and enjoyed the show. :^)
