Charles J. White Posted November 11, 2014 Share Posted November 11, 2014 I had a chance to watch a few minutes from Ottawa this morning as well at Canada's War Memorial of our unknown soldier. When I was a kid my grand parents would take me there with them to pay respects. What I remember most about that which so many years ago were the men and women all holding Canada's first flag, the Red Ensign. It is beautiful but of course so sombre knowing that each poppy which fills the moat in such a striking way is a life taken too soon. Good story, Charles.
