Festering Gob
I used to do that when I was younger, cars mostly. I have a few of the big 1/8th scale ones, a jag xk-e, a gullwing mercedes, a 63 split window vette. I built probably hundreds of the smaller ones, although after a while I never built the car printed on the box, I'd buy 4 or 5 kits and mix & match parts

Cecil.
When younger for me fighter planes(insert choice here) last model was a life-size Facehugger, which sat on my desk and generally upset people!!! Now I am a proud owner of a Saturn V kit which I always wanted to try.
