BIGDAN Posted December 5, 2009 Share Posted December 5, 2009 Hi All, It's been playing on my mind for many years now, Politicians have removed the fear they control us by, they had used our fear about "GOD" before, and they have now replaced it with a fear of what "Science" can tell us. Only thing is that they now deciede exactly "what" Science tells us, they manipulate Science as they once manipulated Religion, so "Science" has become the new "Religion". "Worship" is now done in the "Lab" rather than the "Church" "Mosque" or "Synagog" and Politicians are the New "Priests" "Imams" and "Rabi's" but just WHO is the New GOD?. Humans are the biggest hypocrits to their own atrocities and are very naive about what are their "good intentions." We piss all over the enivornment every day. Common sense, no, fuck that. Absolute, undying fact: Humans are contributing to whatever are the natural cycles in the world's climate patterns and effects of our continuing, unwielding contribution will have a dire effect on the world and the human race within the near future. I find it hysterical that "conservatives" are the ones who are so against climate change and global warming. One would think with a brand title like "conservative" they'd all be supportive and behind the protection and conservation of the enivornment. But oh wait, right...Al Gore is the enemy, the Bible doesn't discuss climate change like a science book does and the Republican Party is largely funded by the aging, polluted energy industry. Regards, Danny I would give a resounding "yes" that science is not only the new religion, but quite an old one as well. People mistake the word "religion" as having something to do with a deity. Not the case, it is simply a system of belief or to repeat a system of belief in action. Not my definition but the ancient Greeks so argue that point with them if someone is offended. When "fact" gets replaced by "scientific fact", that is faith in a theory that has not been proven. Actual facts are involved that give "scientific fact" some legitimacy, but the rest of "scientific fact" are estimations & predictions repeated over & over again to the point where it is blurred into being mistaken for actual fact. Sounds like religion to me. I'll stick with actual "facts" & not psychics in lab coats giving cold readings to strike fear to fund(scientists collection plate) their theories that are taught as actual fact. The earth has gone through cycles of cooling and warming throughout eons of geological history, LONG before human beings were on this earth. To think that we as humans are significant enough to alter the climate of this vast earth and its ecosystem enough to affect a detrimental change (or beneficial change, for that matter) is very egocentric and naive. And politicians are using their un-scientific, un-proven propogada to scare us suckers into changing our lives to fit their political agendas, to build up their party's membership with their fear-mongering and "do good" mentality. It's just another means for them to fight capitalism by beating down business with their regulations, and to push their socialism (I know that you won't like that statement, BIGDAN). And the tax-payers are subsidizing this debacle of an agenda. There is absolutely no scientific proof that humans are causing global warming.
