"Mr" Jimmy Sakurai to play in Hollywood Jan 22

Recommended Posts

We're very pleased to announce a Special Guest appearance of "Mr" Jimmy Sakurai, from Japan, at our upcoming show at the House of Blues in Hollywood, Jan 22. We're still working out which songs he'll do with us, as we may not get any rehearsal for it!

More info and advance tix at the HOUSE OF BLUES WEBSITE.

We had Jimmy come sit in with us in Japan back in Oct, which is up on YOUTUBE. That was completely unplanned & unrehearsed, so I think we'll be fine!

Other upcoming Led Zepagain shows:

Jan 28 - Red Devil Lounge, San Francisco, CA

Jan 29 - Feather Falls Casino, Oroville, CA

Jan 30 - The Ranch, San Miguel, CA

Feb 5/6 - The Hilton Theater, Las Vegas, NV

More on our WEBSITE.

Hope some of you can make it out to a show!

Yes! You're coming to San Francisco! It says you're playing the 2007 02 set. Seems every time you've come here in the past several years, I only found out about the concert AFTER it happened. Guess I should join the mailing list :)

Great, glad you noticed this in time! Stick around afterwards & say hello, we always come out to hang out, as long as the venue doesn't kick everyone out. And spread the word about the show to everyone you know!

EzyEric, sorry you didn't see that in time to make your plans. We talked with him about it when we met him in Japan, as he said he would likely be coming out to CA, but we had to wait until it was all solid. We'll see about getting video, I'll be onstage too this time, so I won't be able to shoot it!

Go see this band they rock!! Hey Steve any idea what time you actually hit the stage? Have no interest in seeing the other bands. Saw you guys at the Brixton in Redondo, great show. Had a chance to talk to you before that show, very cool. Show time says 9, but you guys went on real late at the Brixton..just wondering. Thanks, can't wait to hear what you guys sound like with Mr. Jimmy!!

Hey Steve,

Yeah, I remember chatting with you before that show! Not sure exactly when we will be on stage this Fri. There are 2 opening bands, but I think the first one is going to start earlier, at 8:30. I would guess we'll be on shortly after 10, but you can always call the HoB that day and they should have the schedule.

Thanks, see you there!

Just two. He played on Over The Hills and Rock n' Roll. It was great. Hope he comes down again some time.

Zoso2112, so glad you were able to get in! And yes, Jimmy is one of the nicest guys, very humble. Steve, we'll see you at Brixton!

Don't know who shot & posted this, but here's a clip of 'Over the Hills'. Frankie Banali, ex Quiet Riot drummer, also joined us on drums for this one. Gotta love the "dueling Jimmys," 1973 meets 1975! Jimmy is incredible here, he was tearing it up, and the crowd gave him so much energy back. I couldn't stop grinning up there on stage!

Enjoy:

It's a Washburn SBF-80 12 string. They're pretty rare these days, but sound wonderful through a good PA system.

poorTony, good to meet you & chat in SF after the show! Thanks for coming out. The Red Devil loved it, and we should be back there again, probably in June. Here's a video someone posted from the show:
