BUCK'EYE' DOC
I hope that you get in the front row so that the band can see it. They will love it. Is the venue standing room only and general admission? Or do you have reserved seats? Columbus was standing and general admission when I saw them in October. The venue held only a couple thousand people and you could get really close to the band. It was very intimate. Josh did talk alot to the fans in front of him, too. I stood in front of JPJ, not front row, but very close. That concert was great. You will love it. Have fun, TypeO and DeborahJ!

That would make a nice design for a nice lady like you. The yellow daffodils will go with your blonde hair. How about it, TypeO?

Poindexter
Caught TCV on SNL last night with Ashton Kutcher/Kelso. Was a bit dissapointed. I have the TCV cd and Scum Bag Blues is the best. Reminds me a bit of Cream. On a side note. What is up with Dave Grohl? I remember him as this skinny kid in Nirvana/Foo-Fighters. Seems he is either on steroids or has been working out. All tattoo-ed pumped-up. The best skit of the night was Dave on drums with a has-been wedding singer hair-band or Kelso in the Levitra for three-somes commercial. That said, thats about the close to TCV as I will get. Not my cuppa tea nor coming to my neck of the woods. I just hope they don`t go the way of another super group Chickenfoot. New material please. Edited for, Nice shirt BTW.

TypeO, counting down until Thursday night...you know we are going to have an unbelievable time...and hang on to my belt loop as we are getting up front by JPJ!! May have to do a little with the crowd ...respectfully of course. I was at the Superdome and I think it was Nazareth playing and I knew Van Halen was up next...took me 45 minutes to get to the front row...dripping wet by the time we got there but by Gawd I made it and Eddie Van Halen came sliding out on his kness playing Running With The Devil...if it can be done at the Superdome, this should be a piece a cake. Can't wait to share the photos with everyone

TypeO
Well, Deborah did great and got there early and ended up on the front rail in front of JPJ. We didn't fare as well - lulz. My friend was delayed at work and we didn't get there until around 8:00 p.m. Still managed to get within about 30 feet of the front rail, so I was pretty satisfied. After the opening band, I finally saw Deborah, so we were able to wave to each other lulz. But it was way too densely packed to get up where she was by that time. I guarantee Deborah's pics will be way better than mine (shitty phone cam), but I'll post 'em anyway. Show was everything I hoped and imagined and then some. A lot of extended play on pretty much every song. They looked and sounded awesome, and more than anything, they really seem to enjoy playing together. It's a very real chemistry that can almost be felt. Each member took turns at different times doing extended solo pieces, and without question JPJ's bit was the crowd favorite and certainly mine. The very coolest part was that while JPJ was jamming, all three guys just sat mesmerized watching him, bobbing their heads to the groove, with huge smiles on their faces. At that moment, Dave, Josh and Alain Johannes were fans just like the rest of us, blown away watching a legend they, like us, had grown up on, still bringing the real deal at the age of 64. How fucking cool is that? Finally caught up with Deborah after the show, took some pics and shared impressions of the show. Super-awesome time being able to meet up with a fellow Zeppelin fan and forum member. Oh, and the perfect end to a perfect night? Stopped at Steak and Shake for a double-bacon cheese steakburger and chocolate shake! Oh. Yeah. (We don't have Steak and Shake's here, so I love any opportunity I get to partake!) And now, without further excessive blathering, my aforementioned shitty phone cam pics! more to follow...

TypeO
OK, so it's been like 3 weeks since I saw the show in Atlanta. In the days leading up to the show I was jamming the cd constantly, super-pumped. Then the show was everything I imagined and then some. But... I had finally gotten my fill of TCV for the moment, and I basked in the afterglow. So I didn't feel the urge to listen to the cd for a few days, and next thing you know, it's been 3 weeks. Put the cd in this morning on the way to work, and DAYUMMM, it sounds so good all over again. What an awesome cd, and what an awesome band, and what an awesome show. Sometimes you just gotta say something.
