1975NQ Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 ^^ Also adding Sydney 72 (a new fav) and Manchester 12-8-72 (listening to the show today and forgot how much I loved this version) Quote
EthanG Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 9/24/71 Tokyo its instrumentally as good as 9/23, but Plant’s a bit better Quote

BobDobbs Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Since not much love for later shows, I will toss this out there: 7-24-79 I really like this version, everyone is on point and Jones piano sounds great. In fact, I think I prefer the piano to the organ for this song. Quote
AchillesLastBand Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Re: 7-24-79, you're right about the piano, it's really nice. For me, problem is that it's such a treble-y recording. For that reason, I couldn't even give the whole thing a listen. Maybe your version is more balanced sonically. Quote

I've had that boot since the 80s but haven't listened to it in years. Gave it a listen this morning for the first time in like 30 years. It was like reconnecting with an old friend. Robert's vocals sound so truthful and emotional. Like he really means it and is feeling it. Killer, killer version. Quote

I usually listen to the LedZepelinBoots upload on YouTube...sounds pretty good to me once you balance the mix a bit. Quote
AchillesLastBand Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 No that is a good source. I don't know what the source is that I have. Will check that out, thanks. ALB Quote

Badgeholder Still Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 6-25-77 stands with any version/any year. Recommended for anyone who thinks nothing worthwhile happened after '75. Quote
