25th Sept 1980,

John Bonham, drummer with Led Zeppelin, died aged 32 after a heavy drinking session. ‘Bonzo’ was found dead at guitarists Jimmy Page's house of what was described as asphyxiation, after inhaling his own vomit after excessive vodka consumption, (40 shots in 4 hours). During live sets his drum solo, ‘Moby Dick,’ would often last for half an hour and regularly featured his use of his bare hands.

24th Sept 1972,

'Led Zeppelin IV' was on the UK album chart. The 19th century rustic oil painting on the front of the album was purchased from an antique shop in Reading, Berkshire, England by Robert Plant.

Okay, Mudbugclub, if you're going to regularly start contributing items to this thread, could you be a little more precise and clearer in your wording so they don't appear like random ramblings?

Case in point: your post for Sept. 24.

Wow, Led Zeppelin IV was on the UK album chart on Sept. 24, 1972? Who knew?!?

You know what...it was also on the US album chart that day...and the day before...and the day after...and on and on.

Considering the album came out in Nov. 1971, it was on the charts for a considerable time before Sept. 24, 1972.

Unless you were referring to Robert buying the painting of the "stick man" on Sept. 24, 1972, your post makes no chronological sense. Which is why it helps to be specific with your writing, so people aren't confused.
