Robert Plant & The Band of Joy To Tour USA

Well, I just booked seat 5 five minutes ago.

This is very unfair, seems to me. Earlier they posted that tickets would go on sale on 4/12, I returned just now and they were already on sale. Lots of people must have missed out on the best seats.

Oh, and he will be touring the UK in the fall.

Congrats on the great seats. I just happened to find out about his tour this morning and never would have thought they went onsale so soon. That's cool you got the seats I had available. I hope I have as good of luck with timing for his East Coast leg of the tour!

Enjoy!

I'll try not to take it personally that he's never done it when I've been there, then!

No, no, the $500 figure was just a number I pulled out of the air, just meaning "people who paid megabucks for special packages on previous tours," not referring to this tour at all. Or ANYTHING specific at all.

I'd personally love to see him at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City -- GREAT venues there. I believe he was there with Alison so I'm thinking it could happen. If anyone is near the area, DO get those tickets. You will NOT be disappointed.

He also played there with Strange Sensation :)

Still great seats available for Dallas and other shows.

Many times Meet and Greets are paid for right at ticketmaster when you get the tix.

They are done just before or just after the show. You usually meet in a room in the backstage area. It's very cool to do. Sometimes you only get one minute and sometimes several with the celebrity, but it's face to face and you get to ask them whatever you want.

Time for a new thread. Meet & Greet with Robert Plant-what would you ask him/talk about?

No he doesn't.

He's going to be adding more dates (I believe it mentions that on his site). And the info about the UK leg is courtesy of Knebby.

Posted on Facebook because I didn't want to post it here. It's not my place to make announcements about his plans, it was a private discussion amongst FaceBook friends.

I disassociate myself from this piece of information.

I apologize, Knebby, I had been thinking of your post here in the thread about the rumors of a tour, in which you said he wouldn't just be doing US dates. Clearly, you didn't say UK dates specifically, I was misremembering that part.

A misguided attempt on my part to give credit for information.

Robert was at the Borgata with Strange Sensations??? I could kill myself. I LOVE his work with them! Also the Fate of Nations Tour. Did anyone go to that??? Guess those days are gone?

Anyone hear anything yet about East Coast tickets? Worried that as soon as they get announced the sale starts right away and we could miss great seats.

Looks like the best thing to do is sign up to Ticketmaster or the Robert Plant site and get updates. I did think it was wild that people could get tickets so fast and congrats to those who did.

I'm going to try to make the Memphis show--unless a Nashville show is added. It's been a long time since I've been to the Orpheum and I bet the ghosts will be happy.

It kind of looks like the tour hot spots are backwards from what he normally does...in the past he seemed to hit many of those places listed last lol

Bless the Southern belles ;)

Aquamarine, it did seems kind of strange how it happen usually there is some heads up lol Radio stations usually whisper about big shows too

I did check the Ticketmaster and Orpheum site and neither had anything listed for Memphis yet but then the Robert Plant site also mentions the tickets would go on sale in May

This is great news!

I hope that his tour comes to Ohio in the fall! I would love to see him. I am not planning on traveling to the southern US in July. I don't particularly do well in hot weather. I wonder why Robert is touring in the hottest part of the US in the summer? He must really like hot weather, lol.

And I think that you all can thank Sam for getting your good seats!

His post giving us the heads up on the concerts was probably the reason for being the first ones to buy the tickets.

Thanks Sam, on behalf of all the members here!
