MadScreamingGallery
Were you at the Borgata? That sounds exactly like what he did there. No, I saw Jeff about two months ago, at one of his Texas shows - also at a small venue. I think that because he doesn't talk to the audience very much, it is something he does to connect in some small way with his fans who've come to see him play. He does seem uncomfortable talking to the audience, but he is still able to connect.

bigzepfan
Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to this DVD...and tonight to see him live again!! Have an awesome time!! I just caught him in Atlantic City(6/5) and he's coming back up to NJ and NY again. Will see at least one more and since he was so damned good, probably several more. He really was exceptional. He has just amazing control over the sounds he conjures up. It was also alot more rocking of a show than when he played with clapton in february. since he did the les paul tribute maybe he'll incorporate some of that into his regular show. I know he did one Les Paul tune, but just one. It would be pretty cool to see more. The great thing is - regardless of what he plays it'll be incredible. Enjoy! and Rock On! Deborah J
Mr. Beck put on an amazing and captivating event last night. He played everything from the new CD as well as "People Get Ready" and a tribute song to Les Pauls "How High The Moon" with Imelda. Imelda May kicked off the event at 8PM and was singing her heart out. She thanked everyone for being there for her as an opening for Beck. The lady has a set of lungs!! Then at 9PM Mr. Beck hit the stage and the packed crowd went crazy! He had 6 standing ovations. When he did "Over The Rainbow" you could here the silence that came over the crowd as we all just wanted to soak in every note. It was simply magnificent. Another of many standouts for me was "Hammerhead"and "Never Alone". Hearing those live after only being able to listen to it on CD makes me appreciate these songs even more. He played until 11PM. I would do it again tonight if I could.

Levee
Why is this topic in the Pre/Post Zeppelin Forum? Just wondering. The Author of this thread said that this is the kind of thing Jimmy should be doing, and it went off that topic. But in a very good way.

I'm a tiny bit jealous that you also got to see Imelda May and see her sing How High the Moon live. That's awesome! Thank you for the review also. Deborah J
Hello RPOZ51! I know, these video's do not do justice. I hope better ones surface later:-. The show was really phenomenal as expected from Beck and IMHO he just keeps getting better...

ledzepfvr
Got an email from Guitar Center with a link to this interview with Jeff talking about his album ,etc. Its rather lengthy so I just post the link. Don't know if it will shed any new light about him that those who follow him don't already know. http://gc.guitarcenter.com/interview/jeff-beck/?rel=email&source=4NL0G8&indiv_id=6503625
JTM
I have always loved Jeff Beck but this album is verging on awful.... the worst thing he has ever recordred. Don't know what the fuck I was thinking there. I now say Emotion and Commotion is a Fucking Great Album. Far from the worst it's almost one of his best. DAS
^ Curse you for bumping this! I thought he was recording another new one now. Anyways I agree with you. Emotion And Commotion is a great album. And except for his three recent live albums is one of if not the best he's recorded in a long time.
