robpop78
Not sure if this is best place to post but I am the owner of Robert's Plant Audi A8 (4.0 TDi) and am in the process of selling it. I am the only other owner than Robert and have had the car for approx 9 months. The car is advertised on AutoTrader or if you would like more details, please email me at robertpopple@yahoo.com Thanks

robpop78
No its not the car he got into an accident. The car involved in the accident was his S8 (which replaced the car I have). The car is in perfect condition and has NOT been involved in any accidents.

SteveAJones
Is it a brown Audi? If so it's probably the one Robert drove to his Liverpool Academy gig on April 1st 2005. I took a photo of Rex King parking it.

walterswalk
Rex was not at that Liverpool show. His new tour manager was in place by that time.

SteveAJones
April 1, 2005: Robert Plant had just driven this Audi to the Carling Academy in Liverpool with a passenger and exited. It was being backed out out of the artist's entrance and parked by the passenger when this photograph was taken. Photo Credit: Steve A. I took a photo of Rex King parking it. I thought it was a blue one with the distinctive numberplate which was parked in the street outside the venue. I hadn't seen his car before but the numberplate seemed a bit of a give away. It was confirmed 4 me whan he turned up in it at a show in Bristol in 2007. The band came out of the venue and went across the road to the pub before the show.
Knebby
Steve - that's his car -I'm not the boss but I would imagine it would be good to take it down now or blurr it because of the number plate, which is still in use - but it's pretty impossible to tell who is driving unless we have someone with CTU photo-enhancement skils . But it wasn't Rex anyway, as he wasn't there - no biggie. I'm pretty sure it is actually Robert's mate Dave Hodgetts, as that's who he travelled with, and from photos taken that evening, that's the colour top he was wearing. Thanks for the clarification! Yes, as I recall Robert was behind the wheel when they arrived and pulled into the artist's entrance. Hodgetts backed the car out and parked it in the street right after Robert had exited and gone into the venue. The brown I'd been thinking of must be all that Midlands dust and dirt near the wheel wells. I will repost the photo with the license plate obscured.
