Jason Bonham to start work on star-studded solo album

Led Zeppelin's stand-in drummer to team up with all-star cast

Bonham, the son of late Led Zeppelin drummer John, said in an interview with Classic Rock Revisited: "I've always wanted to do an album with half the people I've worked with. People like Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers, Jeff Beck and Slash.

"I've been working on some original songs with the band that does the Led Zeppelin experience," he added, referring to the covers band he's been touring with since forming in 2010. "We're going to start writing as an original band and see what comes out of it. It'll be kind of Zeppelin-esque because of the way the guys play – but there's nothing wrong with that."

He also added that he could still hit the road with his other band Black Country Communion, the supergroup formed in 2009 with guitarist Joe Bonamassa, former Deep Purple member Glenn Hughes and Dream Theater's Derek Sherinian. "I have not suggested this to the others, but my thing would be that we should, for the fans, go out and play. If Joe can't do it, we should go out with someone else. Joe is a really nice guy and I think if we asked him then he'd say, 'Of course'."

"I want to make drum 'n' bass music with John Paul Jones - Jason Bonham"

"Jason Bonham, son of late @ledzeppelin drummer John Bonham, tells BBC 6 Music he wants to embark on a drum 'n' bass project with the band's bassist John Paul Jones."

i would love to see something like this. i read where John Paul said he preferred to stay more in the background, even when they would start out and he was more in the front he liked to kind of move back a little and get closer to bonzo and interact with him during during their performance.

After sold-out shows throughout North America, the critically acclaimed concert, JASON BONHAM’s LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE makes its debut at Snoqualmie Casino to ultimately thrill audiences again!

The show--a tour de force--is a spectacular rock concert with iconic Led Zeppelin rock songs, stunning atmospheric video and light effects which highlight the unique history that JASON BONHAM shares--in commemoration of his father John--with the legendary rock n’ roll band.

JASON played with Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones at Led Zeppelin’s “final” show at London’s O2 Arena in 2007. The O2 Arena show was heralded as the most powerful Led Zeppelin performance since the group’s original disbandment. The band received uniformly rave reviews from that epic night and for fans that missed out that day in 2007 finally were able to see a worldwide theatrical and DVD release titled Celebration Day, which came out just this past November.

JASON BONHAM’s LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE (JBLZE) features BONHAM on drums, TONY CATANIA on guitar and theremin, STEPHEN LEBLANC on keyboards/pedal-steel guitars, DORIAN HEARTSONG (in for Michael Devin) on bass and JAMES DYLAN on lead vocals. The band’s powerful live performance of Led Zeppelin’s classics takes concert-goers through a mesmerizing visual and aural journey as giant backdrops display iconic art and BONHAM’s own historical video footage and photos give the show an intimate feel. Show highlights include a heartfelt duet with JASON performing all the iconic songs from the Led Zeppelin songbook.

...Great Show in Winnipeg with Jason, it's been three years since we R& R with Jason;

Jason said that he was not feeling very well, despite he did "sweat it out", and that he won't take three years next time, the music "deserves to be played"..

he said;

..I missed Dazed and Confused, Kashmir, and the last WLL always great, what can be said;

Great Crowd turn out in Winnipeg, and energy was as expected!!

...I am sure there was new footage/Photos as well; as Jason briefly stated...

..photos later;
