Knebby
I read The Kite Runner last year and it is a great book, very hard to put down. Preferred it over the movie which was also good. He has another book called A Thousand Splendid Suns which I hear is also very good so I should eventually check it out. I agree the book was much, much better - and I prefered ATSS too, so I say read it quick!

Starbreaker
Finished Confederacy of Dunces (I wanted to kill Ignatius J. Riley the whole book), but the one I'm reading now called To Rule The Waves (about the history of the Royal Navey) is excellent. manderlyh
I just finished Three Cups of Tea. It was a wonderful book. It took me a LONG time to get thorugh it because I have been really busy lately, but I did it. I want to read it again.
ebk
Just finished "Frankly My Dear", all about Gone with the Wind, book and movie. Very interesting analysis of Scarlett especially, but the whole process from Margaret Mitchell's motivation in writing it, to Selznick's difficulties filming it. Just started reading Craig Ferguson's novel "Between the Bridge and the River". If I enjoy it half as much as his autobiography, I'll love it!
