luvlz2
luvlz2 posted that "the second half of the show they will be playing as a bar band in a bar band setting" (his quote). Interesting. I guess it was not in a bar setting but in a highschool setting! The setlist goes in descending order, pretty cool. jimmie ray
Interesting about Geddy Lee switching over to a Fender Jazz type bass, and having that as his signature model. I enjoy this group's talents very much, but haven't watched much videos of them. Kinda thought the Rickenbacker was his main choice, and was an element in his very awesome sound? kingzoso
This might be a little too much for some but I am going to listen to nothing but RUSH for the next 7 days leading up to the Rush show in Dallas, Texas. 7 days from today, May 18. Thanks to luvlz2, I have seen what the setlist will be (with some slight variations, I'm sure) and though it looks great I kind of wished and hoped that it would be more in line with the R30 setlist. At least in the diversity and the number of numbers played. Regardless of what they end up playing, I will just be overjoyed and overwhelmed just being there. I am currently listening to and watching this:https://youtu.be/dPw8Cqkq788 Edited to add: Hey luvlz2. I used to add Youtube videos and it would show the video. I am doing the same thing I always did but now it just provides the link like the one above which is rather frustrating to me when it used to never do that before. Can you respond to this either as a reply or a pm and tell me what I am doing wrong and how to "fix" this? I like the actual video appearing and not a link. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Long Live RUSH!!! Edited May 11, 2015 by kingzoso

Some tunes I really love aren't there (Distant Early Warning, New World Man, Analog Kid, Workin' Them Angels, to name a few) , but I'll live. I know it will be absolutely epic. Rush has never failed to deliver in the 4 or 5 shows I've seen. EDITED to remove Far Cry from my list of songs not included - it IS included, LOL. luvlz2
I'm just wondering if Rush will continue the trend from Clockwork Angels and play some of the rarer tracks and/or stuff they've never even played live before. I know of a few off the top of my head I would love to see done live... Rumour is they played Losing It at the soundcheck today at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, MN. "Distant Early Warning"/"Between the Wheels" and in the 2nd set after ""Tom Sawyer" with "YYZ"/"The Camera Eye". I am currently watching this: Edited to add: A whole lot of thanks to luvlz2 and TypeO for the advice on how to post the actual YouTube video instead of just the link. (I took out the "s" and it worked, as seen above. I just hope that I remember that for any future YT posts that I may post). Thanks!!! I will be in the "Presence" of Geddy, Alex and Neil in 5 days. kingzoso
I was at this concert and toward the end of the show there was a cameraman about 5 feet from me on my left. I suppose he was filming "longshots" because I was at the back and almost at the most distant place at the American Airlines Center. When I saw him I yelled and screamed (I was buzzed) and he turned his camera toward me and I yelled and screamed some more to try and the make others that were near me aware that he was filming and they did. He filmed for about a minute (maybe a little longer or a little shorter - I don't remember) but before he left he looked at me and nodded and smiled and said "Good Job". I said to him, "put me in the movie".This is the first time I have seen this so I don't know if I the editors put my enthusiasm in or not. If I actually see myself (which I highly doubt), I will point out the exact time. Although I do not think that I made the final cut of the film, I swear to God that I was really filmed and that my brief footage is sitting somewhere in a bin that was left on the cutting room floor. Angel With A Broken Wing
I don't have to tell you to enjoy the show kingzoso, I know you are! Did you say you're going to the Vegas concert too? I will be at that one, am attending 3 in fact all in one week, all are floor seating -- Seattle, 14th row on Geddy's side San Jose, 23rd row straight down the middle so we will call that in front of Neil Las Vegas, 12th row on Alex's side. Pretty sweet, eh? Also plan to do edibles like TypeO said so that makes it doubly sweet. LOL Life is beautiful. And thank you luvlz2 for posting all the goodies in this thread, the setlists, vids and such. The spoilers/no spoilers camps at the official Rush website forum get too overwhelming for me so I don't visit there too often these days. Would enjoy meeting anyone here that will be at any of those shows.
