Just after taking off, wondering did you turn off the gas,iron,taps....etc.

My friend Mike used to drive me nuts. We'd take off somewhere and about a mile into the trip he'd say:

Did I lock the front door? And being the stubborn bastard that he was we had to go back.

<_<

Living next door to inconsiderate, noisy neighbours. When I lived in my studio flat on my own (before my other half came on the scene) I lived next door to the most arrogant, inconsiderate neighbour. The walls to the flat were paper thin, just a piece of plasterboard between my flat and his, and I could hear when he sneezed, and other unpleasant things! Anyway he would have parties and guests round all times of night with loud music playing (really bad music, no Zeppelin! :o ). I used to wear ear plugs so I could sleep at night. One night I must have been half asleep, with noise coming through the wall I pushed the ear plug too far into my ear and it got stuck in my ear canal. I woke up deaf in one ear! I had to go down to the hospital and get an ear specialist to suck it out with this micro vacuum. On reflection, it's quite funny, but I wasn't very happy at the time.

Thankfully I live in a lovely house in the middle of the countryside now, and all I can hear is the birds singing. :)

Magic, I know the feeling! I live in an apartment and I have been woken up at 4 AM by loud fuckin' techno music blasting out of the apartment next door! If it was Hendrix or Zep or something awesome, then its ok, I'll atleast consider forgiving those clowns next door! But this type of music is just meaningless shit! Jeez! And they even play rap too! The walls of my apartment are pretty thin! There are 3 blokes and a woman living next door! They are a bunch of party animals! I'm almost 23 years old and believe me, I love having fun too but not at the expense of others! Absolutely no consideration whatsoever! One of these days, I might just call the cops!

EDIT TO ADD : How I wish I was living in the suburbs, so that I can escape all the din of city life and get some much needed peace and quiet! :(

I know Kiwi, it's really awful. There must be laws in New Zealand for noise disturbance at night. Here it's called 'noise pollution'; if anyone makes excessive noise after 11.00pm then you can contact the Environmental Health, and they start a VERY long process of investigating the disturbance. I can really sympathise, it's not funny and it affects your quality of life. Why can't these people just go to sleep late at night like any normal person would? I hope your situation improves, and remember you won't be living there forever. :console:

By the way, the guy that lived next door to me eventually got evicted from his flat and he moved straight into the flat across the hall. :o

Wow! The UK is so sensible when it comes to things like this! B) And I am sorry to hear that you had to go through being deaf in one ear and pretty much getting the scare of your life because of some inconsiderate idiots! :console2: And thank goodness, you could finally manage to get away from all the madness! Country life truly sounds blissful! :D

Also, serves that idiotic bloke right for getting evicted but he moved into the flat across the hall??! :wtf:

When the power goes out while you have food cooking or food in the microwave.

When you can't open a bag of chips and so you rip it from the top and it begins to rain chips everywhere.

When you begin to love a show and that's when it beings to lose steam and quality.

Anyone who calls Led Zeppelin "him."

That feeling in your nose....your passages burn and sting up to your eye sockets...you sniff in to make it stop....you blow out to make it stop...it just sits there in your nose....feeling the mucus build and finally gives way to a sneeze that could blow your eardrums out .
