Right now, our local pound is overflowing with animals, and they are still asking for outrageous prices to adopt. It's quite sad because it's been in the news that they're going to start euthanasia. I'd get a dog, but I'm not home enough to train one and give him enough attention. Oscar's already feeling a bit too needy because both Dave and I have been so busy lately... We have the same problem in my area but the good thing is there are a lot of animals that are adopted, plus the fostering program keeps quite a few from being put down. Even thought things aren't that bad they stilll need money to operate and treat injured animals that are brought in. This past summer I did some work for them and it was a lot of fun. I regularly sit on Coogee Beach & watch the sun rise or set. Or even at Dolphins Point where they have the memorial for the victims of the terrorists attacks in Bali in 2002.
