liltinggrace
Hey guys! I'm hoping that some of you will have seen these guys, or at least know of them, but as they're pretty damn wonderful, I thought I'd plug them anyway. They played on the BBC a few months back for the I'm In A Rock N' Roll band show and if you went to the O2 show you might have seen/heard them playing acoustically to the queue. As someone who was brought up on Zeppelin, and an avid tribute band disliker, I was shocked to find myself loving these guys. Stupidly talented bunch of boys, they are! They are playing The Half Moon in Putney this Saturday (11th) and I'd highly recommend popping down to see them. You won't be disappointed! (And I'll be there, of course. Hehe!) Misty Mountain Hop from their Russian Tour You can search for them on YouTube for more videos, their DVD will be coming out soon and lots of fun new stuff happening. Chowder
Totally agree, I saw them on the BBC show and they put a huge grin on my face! There was no way the other bands were gonna win after they played. Seen them on youtube too. Two hours of that would be the best fun I've had since 4th August 1979. Been meaning to check them out live. Might well come to the show next week as a late birthday present to myself! That's a nice pic of Plant in your avatar by the way - do you know when /where it's from?
Conneyfogle
I've seen this band, they were ok, but not the best...

I can't for the life of me remember the name of this band i saw, but I thought the singer was Rob, he is the spitting image and the guitarist wore a scarf on his head, they were brilliant, then i saw them the week after (same place) and they were not so good, I'll post a vid if/when i can find one This band was one that Rob himself has seen a few times and rates the best Non UK bands, I'd say Remains the same are really good from Italy

They are fantastic live, they were terrified on the BBC bless them (I was there) but they made us very proud. I beamed, quite a lot! Ooooooh! Please do come to the show! You definitely won't be disappointed. It will sell out however, as they always do at that venue, so you might need to buy a ticket in advance from the Half Moon website. Thank you! It's actually a screen-cap from Song Remains The Same which I edited, I'm a bit of a photoshop nerd.

Yay! Really pleased to hear you like them. The DVD is in post production at the moment, we're hoping it'll be able to be commercially available, but not 100% sure yet. There's going to be a live CD appearing at some point too.

In fact, the only thing that wasn't quite right was the left-handed 'Jimmy'. I mean, come on!!! I'm left-handed, but always played right-handed. If I can do it, so can he! (Thinks: maybe that's why I'm so crap....)
liltinggrace
Ha! Well he's always played left handed and all of his kit is left handed, so it would be a bit of a drastic change! They've been together for too many years to change that now. Awh well I'm glad they didn't come across as nervous, it was totally live so there was a lot riding on it, but I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. tom kid
'Jimmy' isn't thin enough for the poppy suit. Sounds damn good though, guitar playing is very crisp.
