Has Axl lost the plot?

The guy is an ass. ...

Well, he's still a rose ... and remember, after they're all gone all that's left are the guns. :o

"On September 1, 2010, at a concert in Dublin's O2 arena, Rose arrived on-stage nearly an hour late. The crowd greeted Rose with booing and having plastic bottles thrown at him. Rose stopped the concert after 20 minutes, during a performance of "Welcome to the Jungle". He then told the crowd "Here's the deal: One more bottle and we go home". After being hit again by more objects he then said "It's up to you. We would like to stay. We want to stay. We want to have some fun. If you don't want to have fun, all you've got to do is let us know. We've got no problem - we'll go on our way." After the band left a venue staff-person then made an announcement onstage saying "We're trying hard to get Axl to come back on stage. I will ask you to refrain from throwing items. I promise you a great show, but you need to be calm." Rose returned to the stage after a 60 minute break and the band stayed onstage until 1am, playing the remainder of the show for the remaining fans." (Wikipedia)

The guys in Metallica should have pummeled him and left him for dead in an alley in Montreal about 20 years ago.

If you have ever seen the documentary "Behind The Music Remastered: Metallica" on VH1 Classic, you will understand what Bong-Man is referring to:

Metallica was the opening band for Guns N Roses in Montreal. James Hetfield was severely burned by the pyrotechnics during one of their songs, and he had to be rushed to the hospital. Metallica could not finish their set. When Guns took the stage, Axl stopped mid-song and said that he couldn't go on as his voice was bothering him. The audience erupted into a riot and destroyed the arena as well as burned cars outside, etc. The Metallica guys were astounded with Axl and lost all respect for him then. They felt that he didn't want to be upstaged by James' incident, so he staged his own incident. The Metallica guys have great respect for their fans and felt bad about not finishing their show. They came back at a later date and finished their concert even though James couldn't play the guitar. His guitar tech played and James sang.

I can't condone the audience throwing things on stage. But Axl needs to grow up and take some responsibility for showing up on time and giving his loyal fans what they are paying for, or soon he will not have many fans left.
