One suspects there was more involved than cannabis. Fat Yog is clearly a hardened toker and, like all hardened tokers, presumably spends most of his driving time UTI. If it was just cannabis, you'd expect him to be crashing every day.

He recently said he used to smoke about 18 spliffs a day but he has reduced this to about six, i would expect he smokes the strongest weed he can get by the amount of times he has been caught asleep in his car. But this isn't about smoking weed is it? This is about continually putting himself and the public at risk and in danger buy his ridiculous behavior while driving under the influence of drugs, its not like he can afford a personal chauffeur is it, he has millions stashed away, this was bound to happen to him in the end and no amount of his blaming this on a lovers death is going to sway a judge in to being lenient, he's lucky he will only do 4 of the 8 weeks in jail, so much for British justice when you only do half of your sentence.

Does this mean he is automatically banned from the US? (for his Drug Conviction) if so he can kiss goodbye to a large chunk of his future earnings, what with his former antics in the US i couldn't imagine why they would ever want him back, this could be just what he needs to get back to reality, but i could care less what this jerk does with his life, he just better keep well clear of my van when he eventually gets his licence back in 5 years, if he scratches it just one little bit I'll scratch his eyes out and tear him a new one.

I'd say he probably wouldn't be banned, unless it was drug trafficking or a felony conviction of some sort. Not positive about that.

What I meant about the less or no jail time is too many celebrities and the elite seem to buy their way out with high priced legal counsel, no matter what the charges may be. Too much plea bargaining etc. But some as you said can't always buy their way out of it.

Thanks, Steve, for the piece you posted. I have a lot of respect for Tony Parsons and it is good to read someone actually recognising the sadness and seriousness of this and not just gloating because they didn't like Wham. George's story is one of tremendous talent squandered, and it would be a tragedy to see it spiral further down.

A Tragedy Yes, even a Greek like George can star in his own "Greek Tragedy", it is a shame that he couldn't get the message years ago by a Judge that didn't have the same insipid love of talent that you have shown on so many occasions, while others here that are more Pragmatic and are more Concerned with the social and medical implications of a cocky bloated drug addict driving around on a public highway while under the influence of whatever he feels like, and who don't giggle when a raving poof drops his trousers at you in a Public Convenience and asks the question "Does my bum look Big outta my pants?".

I've actually been banned before. Ask Sam. And usually I focus on the post in question, not some previous grudge. I also remember the "No authority" clearly - why wouldn't I?
