Misfit
Is the 3/17/73 show as good as the other shows were that month? I am thinking about getting a copy called ''Having A Party'' and just wonder what the performance and sound quality are like for this show. I really like the other shows I have from March 73 and hope 3/17/73 is just as good as they are.
johnlennon696
Yeah i do really like this show, certantly up there standard wise with the other March shows, although not as good as say Offenburg or Hamburg but a good show, i have the Winston Remaster and the sound is very good IMO... Thanks very much for the information on the show. Sounds like a show I want to have in my collection. I just love those great March 1973 shows and other 1973 shows like the 5/14/73 show from New Orleans and the 7/17/73 show from Seattle. Those 2 1973 shows really standout to me as well as quite a few others from that year. That's why 1973 is one of my favorite years for bootlegs. johnlennon696
Here are two reviews for the show in question: Tarantura 'Going Down Slow' (from what i have read, a straight copy of Winston's work): http://www.collectorsmusicreviews.com/led-zeppelin/led-zeppelin-going-down-slow-tarantura-tcd-80-1-2/ 'Let's Have A Party' review: http://www.collectorsmusicreviews.com/led-zeppelin/led-zeppelin-having-a-party-no-label/ I only have the Winston version so i can only judge it on that, bit the sound is good and overall it's a good show.... johnlennon696
Hamburg is worth it not only cos it's a killer overall show, but the SBD segment, esp. Dazed is awesome....
Mattmc1973
Dazed on the Hamburg soundboard is just sick, probably the must brutal and hot the band ever was in their career. Anyway, the Munich show is great, not quite the Hamburg or Vienna shows, but awesome nevertheless.
