Excellent choice, good sir 😎

Kind of a no-brainer, right? Although I'm sure there are some anoraks that don't like the show.

Every show I am listening to in John Bonham's honour today is from my Baker's Dozen list of best Led Zeppelin bootlegs. Next show up...

You would think. Yeah, I'm sure there are some.

What's your full baker's dozen?

My baker's dozen: 13 great shows with great sound.

1. April 27, 1969 Fillmore West

2. August 31, 1969 Texas International Pop Festival

3. January 9, 1970 Royal Albert Hall

4. March 7, 1970 Montreux

5. September 19, 1970 evening show Madison Square Garden* (*The one exception to my 'great sound' rule...this show replaces the 9.4.70 Blueberry Hill show I used to have in this spot on my list)

6. August 31, 1971 Orlando

7. September 14, 1971 Berkeley

8. September 29, 1971 Osaka

9. June 25, 1972 LA Forum

10. March 24, 1973 Offenburg

11. March 21, 1975 Seattle

12. June 21, 1977 LA Forum

13. July 24, 1979 Copenhagen

Honourable mentions...aka the rest of my Top 20.

14. September 2, 1970 Oakland

15. September 4, 1970 LA Forum

16. May 3, 1971 Copenhagen

17. September 23, 1971 Tokyo

Can't argue with that when you're factoring in sound quality (excuses omitting June 19, 1972).  Interesting that you put May 23 as your second '75 show.  I would take March 12, 19 & 20 ahead of it and May 18 is my favourite Earls Court show.

Maybe it's May 18 I was thinking of...I know I like May 18 and May 23 above the other Earls Court gigs. I put the Earls Court on my list because I love the "Tangerine" and acoustic sets included in the 1975 setlist. Gives more variety.

If Mike Millard had recorded all of March 12 Long Beach or if a soundboard ever comes out, then I may revise my list and include March 12.

That makes sense.  I'm a bit torn on the 23rd vs. 25th, but I think the 24th ranks fourth at best.  It finishes really strong, but the first half is sluggish.  Never understood the "No Quarter" from the 24th being cited as a potential best-ever version either.

I just noticed that in my YouTube box this morning! Looking forward to listening to the unadulterated master.

It is amazingly clear for Youtube. I wish there were FLACs available. Better than the Genuine Masters "Collectors Edition-audio only" I have (which is a clear cut above 3 other versions I tried, even the Winston one)

I still have my Genuine Masters DVD audio bootlegs buried somewhere...The Rover's Return, Listen to This, Eddie, and a couple of others.
