Hi SW! Listened to the first hour and then had to take a break, hope to resume tonight. I knew it was awesome from the posts on this forum, and so far it has measured up to everything that I hoped for (and more!)! I got interested in this concert from the version of Ten Years Gone that I recently heard, absolutely love the guitar! I know that LZ live is the way to go, and I'm going to have to search YouTube for more! The improv and variations are brilliant! I have the official live releases which are fantastic, can't bring myself to buy bootlegs.

Yea that one definitely deserves all the praise it gets. Can't blame you for taking a break, those 77 shows sure aren't short! Oh and don't feel guilty not paying for bootlegs, you aren't taking money from the band obviously, they're unauthorized! It's quite an enjoyable hobby, enjoy! :toast:

Glad to hear someone else is getting into Led Zep's live stuff the same way I did. 6/21/1977 was my first true Led Zeppelin concert too.

Since you mention it, one channel I can recommend is my friend Randy Butternubs:

https://www.youtube.com/user/randybutternubs1209

He only uses lossless audio and saves everything in HD before uploading it so YouTube's uploader doesn't completely destroy the quality. Most of what he's put up is stuff I've shared with him, so if you find anything you like, lemme know and I'll PM you the original files when I can.

Thanks for the reference, Sue Dounim! Randy Butternubs posted the 4-28-77 Ten Years Gone that I cannot stop listening to! I will be sure to check out his channel.

Just finished listening to the remaining concert, 6-21-77, and it was amazing! A few first impressions:

- I have a new appreciation for WS/BMS! Was really enjoying what I heard, thinking that Jimmy is just so amazing and kicks a$$ all by himself, and as if Jimmy replied with 'If you like that, just imagine what happens when I bring along some of my friends', we slide into a powerful Kashmir!! Brilliant!!

- As we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner today, how cool it was to hear Jimmy's shout out to the USA with SSB and Dixie...way to go, Jimmy, the USA loves you a lot!!

- Beautiful version of Stairway to Heaven, presented as a gift to the audience, and what a gift it was!

- I can only imagine what it was like to be at that show when Robert says goodnight...and then they come back with a really cool Rock and Roll! the concert was indeed long, but I have a feeling it was much too short for those lucky enough to be there.

- Already mentioned my love for this version of TYG (although 4-28-77 is still in the lead for me)

Hope your enjoying it as much as I did. :)

atm I'm listening to:

Led Zeppelin Live - How Many More Times

March 7,1970 - Le Grand Casino de Montreux, Montreux,Vaud, Switzerland

I am.

And that 3.7.70 show is in my list of top 10 Zeppelin concerts.
