jaygriff Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 bit odd with the strat for an early gig .....wonder what they were playing This wasn't an early gig...It was 1975, a gig they played whilst staying in Jersey. Robert is sitting at the back due to being on crutches at the time as a result of the car crash in Rhodes. The band had returned to Jersey shortly after recording Presence. Quote
SteveAJones Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 wonder what they were playing Beehan's West St. Hellier, Jersey December 10, 1975 Led Zeppelin join resident pianist Norman Hale for an impromptu 45-minute set, making good on a promise made Dec 3rd to return. Quote
jaygriff Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 More info about the period Led Zeppelin spent time on Jersey can be found on this blog... http://ledzeppelinjersey.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html Quote

DavidZoso Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 This was the first live outing of the stainless steel Ludwig kit- although he is only using one floor tom. These are the only 2 pics I have ever seen from this show-hopefully more will surface along with an audio tape. I enlarged the pic above. Quote
Easy...Rider Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 That's not a Ludwig... More likely to be something that was just there at the time. Quote
Dr Rock Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 That's my Premier drum kit that I lent John Bonham. I toured as a band member with Norman Hale (ex The Tornados) and from memory that month, Dustin Gee (Les Dennis' ex comedy partner) and we were at Behans for most of that December. Paul Rogers (Bad Company) also gave an impromptu performance that month. Can't believe it's 40 years ago !!! Quote
