McSeven
If you go by the lyrics, what do you all think Zeps vibes are on women. Positive or Negative. I had a friend when I was in Hschool say that LZ1 they dogged women, LZ 2 they praised women. I will have to listen to the lyrics more closely, but in the mean time what do you all think. I say a bit of both, but more pessimistic towards the end of their album career. Mc7

danelectro
The LZ lyrics cover a lot of ground with respect to this question. Some lyrics portraying women negatively are old blues songs not penned by the band and others are love songs, most likely written by Plant, where the subject of the song is longing for a woman so there really isn't an answer for this. Their well publicized behavior off stage is a different thing, I can see how someone might have issues with that. That said most of their lyrics aren't autobiographical, the lyrics serve the songs without promoting anything.
ledzepfvr
They are men singing about the good, the bad, and the ugly relationships with women, not necessarily their realationships. And I think any one of us has some of those stories to tell if we only knew how to express it lyrically.

Their music seems to reflect where they were romantically when each album came out.
