Thanks Aquamarine. OMG. He has to be posting more dates than this very soon! Why Pittsburgh? (no offense). When he said he'd be back to touring in the States come January, he wasn't kidding. He's getting right on it.

I heard the end of an announcement on WMMR in Philadelphia about a Robert Plant solo show?? Did anyone else in the area hear this? I can't get in touch with anyone at the station to respond to this?

I'm struggling to understand why he toured in the south and southwest in the summer, and then would be in the northeast the coldest time of the year?

It is a bit odd isn't it? :freezing:

If Pittsburgh is already announced, I would think that (hopefully) more dates will be announced within the next week or 2.

Apologies BlackandGold. I guess I'm a little jealous he didn't pick Philly first? BTW - what's a good way to get to Pittsburgh from Philly. Not driving. Amtrak I guess. I may be at that show too if possible. BTW as far as the cold - Not a problem for Robert. Look where he comes from. Also, the concert will be indoors. And my opinion as to why he picked the southern states first may be because of the people he's performing with being more well-known down there and also the style of music? I'm thinking he's thinking he'd need to give us northerners more time to get to know their music and get into it. He knows what he's doing.

I'm sure you're right Avacado, he probably did tour the South first because he thought they would be more accepting of the musical style. I just remember thinking at the time, "Phoenix, in July? Is he serious"? I mean it had to be 110. I thought singers were always concerned about the weather and the air conditioning and the havoc it plays with their voice.

Look into the megabus. I've not used them myself, but I am considering them for trips to Philly and NYC. Everyone I know who has used them have been very happy, the sooner you purchase tickets the cheaper they are. The 19th is not yet available for sale (they are like Southwest) but the week prior, you could travel here and back for $7.00.

Dang! No dates scheduled for Ohio. The closest venue to me is Ann Arbor. Who knows what the weather will be like then? The last week of January is usually pretty rough around here with sub-zero temps and lots of snow. Not the most optimum weather for driving the four hours to Michigan from central Ohio.
