muybein Posted December 1, 2010 Share Posted December 1, 2010 Did a search on the forum for both Black Dub and Daniel Lanois and didn't come up with much- wasn't sure where to put this- anywho, got into Daniel Lanois via Sling Blade score/soundtrack. In looking at Lanois' other stuff, came upon Black Dub (Brian Blade- drums)- his latest project (check out the stuff on youtube)- was intrigued and took a closer look at Trixie Whitley (vocals, drums, keys)- from that search came upon the fact that Plant hooked up with Lanois and the gang in early Oct.- check out the link. muybein Posted December 1, 2010 Author Share Posted December 1, 2010 Also, for anyone interested, on the extra's DVD of the double DVD release of Sling Blade, there is a discussion with Billy Bob and Lanois about how he basically created the tracks for the movie real-time using legacy equipment- interesting stuff...
