America didn't do that on its own. Britain and other European nations were involved too. Please give credit where credit is due.

Some great American contributions to the world. A mix of serious and fun ones, but all equally significant in my book! :D

Thomas Edison

Coca-cola

Edger Allan Poe

Jim Henson for The Muppet Show

Lost

Thomas Jefferson

Linda McCartney

Sylvia Plath

Jon Stewart

Steven Spielberg

Your welcome, and your top ten is?

And a VERY BIG THANK YOU for whoever cast Dick Van Dyke as BERT in MARY POPPINS. :hysterical:

that's funny as hell, right there.

although Van Dyke in 'chitty chitty bang, bang' was inspired as well.

(didn't ian fleming write that book?)

'unforgiven' i'd say is a top tenner.

i do know some italians that make great westerns (spagetti)

'the good, the bad, and the ugly' comes to mind...

'little big man' is one of my faves (arthur penn)

Exactly.

Also Australia & NZ suffered great casualties, in some cases up to 2% of the population at the time.
