THANK YOU.... WALES

I suppose they gave us the term "to Welsh on a deal", which roughly translates as "going back on your word" .

I live close to the Welsh border in England, and when we were kids we had a rhyme which went,

"Taffy was a Welshman, Taffy was a thief, Taffy came to my house and stole a lump of beef, i went to Taffy's house, Taffy was in bed, so i picked up the poker and bashed him on the head".

There's nice boyo.

My Nan use to sing that song FJ, I can hear her now, I haven't known many Welchers but those I have know All spoke Great English.

Regards, Danny

Happy St. David's Day, o ye people of Wales. Do they celebrate this day in Wales? It's noted on nearly every calendar. Maybe it's a day to eat Welsh rarebit and blast Shirley Bassey records.

It does get celebrated in Wales.Kids go to school in traditional Welsh costume, adults will wear a leek or daffodil pinned to the lapel and everybody is aware of the significance of the day.It will be a national holiday in the not to distant future.
