ZepRex
Sounds Great!!! I would have loved to been there!! Robert, you still have IT!!! They're coming to Germany as well on the 3rd of August and where will I be?? On holiday ..Robert you rock man..I don't care for some of your bluegrass versions of Zep songs though (Misty Mountain Hop, what's up with that??).. annam
I was there!!!! I post some photos..I did many, but the others are not good, I was too excited to do photos....I was just under the stage, so I saw Robert just in front of me!!!!! It was such an emotion, I can't describe.......I'm very very happy..... but.......I would rather preferred he played more tunes of his solo career, while they played many zep tunes...".bron-y-aur stomp "was wonderful, has been the best lz song in my opinion, I found it perfect to be played in the BOJ way because it was country also in its original version; " black dog " was different from the original but enjoyable, and the same for " ramble on ", "what is and what should never be" and "misty mountain hop" (unfortunately they missed "rock and roll"........ while about "gallows pole", that they played in the encore...well...I I didn't like very much, I found it a bit boring, while the original is so full of energy...at the end what can I say???? a great man, an awesome artist, the best frontman, and one could say the same for the other artists, buddy miller, patty griffin ecc....surely I will not forget this night for all my life.....but I don't understand why he can play so many zep song with BOJ and not with LZ!!!!!! I was in front of him, in the middle of the crowd under the stage, so I screamed together with him outloud "ramble on!!!!!" and "OH OH OH OH " and "I really don't know oh oh oh oh oh "....I was happy, full of joy but I would rather prefer to do this in a zep reunion!!!! I respect his choose, I like very much the album BOJ, so I think it would be better, it would have more sense, if they play more RP solo career tunes and less zep!!!!! anyway I'm very very happy........ Sounds Great!!! I would have loved to been there!!
SuperDave
Love this version of Bron YR-Aur Stomp. It's such a natural for the BOJ. Surprised that they hadn't played this earlier.

ZepRex
Hey you Plantettes! A question to all who attended a BOJ concert: How long does a concert last, including encores (does he still do them today? xxxx
Laura_Page
Yes, they do encores, one song if I'm right. It lasts about half and hour, in Rome they started at 8:30 and finished about

annam
Annam! Me too! I was also in the middle of the crowd in front of him! I have some photos, there are not great thing but... and I'll describe all my impressions I'm happy for you at the end you succeded in finding the tickets and come in Rome......problably we stayed very next each other!!!!! yes, awesome concert, wonderful experience.....except for gallows pole, IMHO......I love too much the original version, and the version of the 1992 "no quarter" tour too, to appreciate this too slow and quite version....and I'm a bit sad they didn't play "rock and roll"...this is the soundtrack of my life!!!!! expecially when I'm down.....I just listen to rock and roll and I smile immediately.....anyway a great concert, only a bit short......because after there was BEN HARPER!!! great artist too!!!!! unfortunately they didn't do a session together as we expected...it would have been interesting!!!!! anyway I'm happy I saw a legend, the greatest frontman....I had fun seeing him in a very good shape for his age to move like a serpent with the microphone as he did when he was young!!!! of course he hasn't got the voice of his youth....but is always a wonderful voice.....a voice that is able to speak to my soul.....there are only three male voices that are able to do this to my soul: RP of course, peter gabriel and freddy mercury!!!!! bye bye
annam
Hey you Plantettes! A question to all who attended a BOJ concert: How long does a concert last, including encores (does he still do them today? xxxx well, in Rome, in Italy....BOJ played with BEN HARPER in two different concerts, one before the other.....so it has been a bit short, IMO, I think the american concerts, in wich BOJ played alone, have been longer than the roman concert I saw.....it started at half past eight and finished at ten o clock...they played GALLOWS POLE in the encore.........I hope for you you'll be able to see BOJ, they are awesome....maybe in a concert longer than mine!!!!!! anyway I'm happy the same.....at the beginning of this year I didn't expect BOJ in rome....RP hasn't been playing in rome since too many years..!...bye bye
Vega Velecka
Some news from Russia, St Petersburgh! When BOJ is in Kyiv, I will post my own photoes, hopefully. 27 JULY 2011, BOJ @ St Petersburg
