Me :D

Clint Eastwood

Ansel Adams

Bullitt

Monica Lewinsky :D

I could go on and on since it's my hometown but I'll stop for now.

B)

Stand tall, rigid and proud ye California redwoods. I had no idea Ms Lewinsky, the San Francisco treat, hailed from your fine city.

Thank you San Francisco for:

Fisherman's Warf!

Pier 39!

The setting for the awesome American Realism novel MacTeague by Frank Norris.

The Golden Gate Bridge

cable cars

Alcatraz (if that's officially part of San Fran)

dirty hippies--- :)

the original 49-ers--Gold Rush style

giving Mark Twain a home for a few years

The Painted Ladies of San Francisco

The world's most crooked street--Lombard Street (google it if you don't know what it is)

My first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean (or any ocean for that matter)

foggy mornings and nights

street vendors near Pier 39

my first vacation outside of my home state (my mom grew up in San Jose, so we visited San Fran the first time I ever went on a "real" vacation)

my first touch of a palm tree! (I loved them for years afterward)

Candlestick Park (though technically it was in Oakland...)

BART

my first sunset over the ocean

my first stay in a "hotel," (Hey--it was a clean Motel 6 and I was 9, I wasn't too hard to impress)

My first visit to the opera (Phantom of the Opera when I was in high school on a school trip)

my first road trip without my mom (it was a school trip--I had teachers instead of parents...)

I'm sure I could go on; I love this city!

I FORGOT AN INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT ONE!

I can't believe I forgot Ghiradelli Square!

I too, haven't been in years, so I'm thinking it may be time for a road trip--maybe this summer?

I'd like to visit the Santa Cruz beach too--I haven't seen that one in a while.

I know them both very well. I used to ride my motorcycle to the Santa Cruz pier and fish.

I really miss it and if I ever move back to Calif. I'd like to live in either Santa Cruz or Monterey. :)

I saw them filming Michael Douglas once on 6th & Mission right around the corner from where I used to work. I saw the shot in the show too once they broadcast it. It was amazing how short it was for all the time and effort they put into that one scene. But I know how that goes now since I started editing a movie for a friend......Chop! Chop! Chop! :D

"Steve McQueen, Steve McQueen...

Bullitt was my favorite movie that I'd ever seen

I totaled my go-cart trying to imitate that chase scene

That Duster had six hubcaps, know what I mean?

and I love the way they all flew off when it landed in that ravine..."

"Steve McQueen" by the Drive-By Truckers

The Secret Of Steve McQueen's Bullitt Chase Scene

For all the attention Steve McQueen has received for the famous chase in "Bullitt," he only

drove 10% of the scene. Marc Myers got to drive the route with the stuntman who deserves

credit for the scene. -Ed.
