Rock N' Rollin' Man
Recent talk about the White Stripes got me thinking of this and I can't think of too many bands I like that just have two members. BTW I'm not a fan of the White Stripes, just haven't listened to them besides "Seven Nation Army." One band who I like is OM.

Jahfin
The Moaners from their first album, Dark Snack. Guitarist/Vocalist Melissa Swingle formerly fronted a band called Trailer Bride, drummer Laura King was once in a band called Grand National that also included Ed Crawford (Whiskeytown, fIREHOSE, eD fROMOHIO, etc.). The Moaners just released their new record Nocturnal this past summer. Edited February 6, 2011 by Jahfin

SelfDevouringSnake
The Black Keys are a good hard/blues rock unit. I'm not a huge fan of the White Stripes, but I love "Seven Nation Army". I'd recommend Steely Dan for anybody trying to broaden their musical horizons, although they're essentially a collective of session musicians in the studio and touring musicians on the road.
