Hey Porkchop, The Borgata doesn't allow smoking and especially in the concert venues there, they will throw you out if you light up, even Pot. BTW, at the Philly concert, there was the smell of much weed goin on. These days you never know which venues may tolerate smoking (or maybe just weed?)

Well it's good that things have apparently changed since 2005, the last time I went to a concert event in a casino, but then they had the venue surrounded IN THE OPEN with machines and tables etc...for those who wanted to smoke. There was NO barrier and the smoke just wafted everywhere. I said NEVER AGAIN.

By the way, that concert was at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut where Robert and the BOJ recently played, I believe. As I'd said in an earlier post, hopefully smarter heads have prevailed and that venue is truly smoke-free. ONLY if they totally isolate smokers in an airtight place or completely ban smoking on the grounds, even OUTSIDE, will there be no smoke. Places that allow it outside invariably have the smokers stand very close to the doorway and each time the door opens, in comes a huge cloud of smoke. Lots of casino's don't even close their doors, so it's not in waves, but a constant flow. Smoking is an activity and habit that needs to be COMPLETELY private and NEVER imposed on anyone, anyplace.

We've got legislation criminalizing smoking in a vehicle with children present. And yeah, that should extend to homes. It's pure child abuse. And adult too. Why should it just be the children that the law protects ? The tide is rolling in on the smokers everywhere, Europe included, and will eventually seclude the pariah that it is. There are many areas here where I live it's even prohibited OUTSIDE. Like parks etc....

What I love about smokers is their excuses: 1) "I will gain weight if I stop"; or 2) "Well the cigarettes I smoke don't smell, I smoke menthol". Riiight. And then you have the smokers who leave the house to smoke and do it outside so all the smoke can come into OUR homes. Kill yourself in your own home Please?

Anyway, hoping BOJ comes to Atlantic City or at least maybe another show like the Bowery in NYC. There ARE other great venues there besides the casinos in A. C. and of course no smoking.

Any feeling on why all the open dates on their schedule still? it says "more to be announced" but not sure if they just mean for Europe? Could they be spending the time writing new music? I'm assuming that has started or will soon.
