Evster In Hospital With Cirrhosis

Good news to report--apparently the prayers worked. Ev is much better, and as long as he continues on his current path he's been told he'll be fine and doesn't need to see the liver specialist. :) Huge improvement over the last few days, it seems, so let's all hope it continues. Hugs to you, Ev and Angi!

  • 3 weeks later...

I hope you are feeling better Ev, and that you are able to keep this thing from progressing very fast.

------

And as for the alcohol comment, let me just tell you-it is incredibly easy to drink too much, too often when you play in a band, as Ev did. People are constantly buying you drinks, and in some places, the bar will give you free drinks all night while you're on. I used to date this guy who sang for a bar band that played Tuesday-Saturday every week, and guess what? We drank every single night they were on, just because we could! So I don't really think it's fair to go, "oh, Bad Ev!" It is very easy to get into that habit....and besides, regardless of how it happened, the fact of the matter is that we have a friend who is very sick right now, and the main concern is getting him better!!

I hope the ole boy is doing better? I thought I heard he was? I guess we need an accurate update? I remember his pic drinking the beer. That was one of the best I have ever seen. I used to drink like a fish but I just lost the taste for it. I still drinnk on occasions, but I get tired before I get drunk usually. But it sure does depend on what you are drinking. Gin and I did not mix. Turned me into an animal. Beer just makes you tired like wine in some ways. But I guess its different from person to person. I loved my Vodka but have lost a taste for that too. I suspect I would like some good Scotch but dont want to find out anytime soon. hope you are ok Evster if you are reading?
