IanA
I think they would have been definitely aware of the mis-spelling, and believe this was left in intentionally. I laughed when I saw it on the DVD for the first time. How couldn't the producers notice when they was putting EC on the DVD
tom kid
Probably a mass produced bootleg scarf. That's always been my theory anyway.
Walesdad
Probably a mass produced bootleg scarf. That's always been my theory anyway. I'm sure that you are right on this.I'm old enough to have been to one of the Earls Court shows and back then there was just not the fan merchandise available to buy, nothing remotely like the scale of stuff today. This scarf was just a cheap knock off that was probably bought outside the venue on the day. Jahfin
I've seen some of the biggest self-proclaimed Zeppelin fans misspell Led Zeppelin on a regular basis. Same for fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd. It never ceases to amaze me.

slave to zep
i reckon the guys decided to highlight it in the DVD as a joke. they probably saw a few of them at concerts. plus she is quite a good looking young girl .......

It never ceases to amaze me. Yeah I've seen it spelt 'Lynard Skynard' countless times. Quite annoying tbh. Those types of fans seem to be the ones who know 'Freebird' and 'Sweet Home Alabama'. austrian_zeppelin
i know a guy who got a zep tattoo and its mispelled...idiots - both him for not noticing until it was more or less too late and the tattoo "artist" for just being an idiot. i would sue the fu..r
ZosoLuke
It's included in the WLL Promo video too. I guess it's something the band find quite funny for obvious reasons and enjoy slipping it in whenever they can. I suppose a 'Lead Zeppelin' banner would have been the ultimate fail though. Those types of fans seem to be the ones who know 'Freebird' and 'Sweet Home Alabama'. That may be true but I'm referring to diehard, hardcore fans that still can't spell Zeppelin or Skynyrd. Skynyrd's name was even misspelled on their first single (before signing to MCA). Admittedly, it's not an easy name to spell but most fans manage to at least get it right. BlackDog71
So glad I am not the only one who noticed it. I feel Jimmy put it in there as a joke. Gotta love people and their grammatical prowess.
Knebby
There was also a mis-spelled scarf just like this held up in TSRTS - in fact, I thought this was the one when I first saw the thumbnail.
