zepps_apprentice
The hole that the screw went it to somehow got stripped when I was playing it today. Anyone have any tips? I don't want to take it to a repair shop yet until it's my last resort.
DewieCox
I've heard of people putting toothpicks down in the holes for strap pegs to give something for the screw to bite into, but I don't think that's nearly the stress we're lookin at here.....Also just read to use a couple sections of guitar string instead of the toothpicks You could get a slightly bigger screw with bigger threads. Refill/redrill the hole. Seems like an easy fix, but if your coming here looking for answers maybe you're about as handy about this stuff as I am. If you have any doubts I'd take it somewhere. I used slightly longer/thicker screws. It worked perfectly, thanks for the help!
JPJ = the groovinator
You could glue the screws in for good.
