hecube
Strict evolution theory might not explain all there is in the biological world, like the Newtonian theory can not explain everything in the cosmos (Einstein had to come along to explain the weird stuff). It should be said that the Newtonian theory works incredibly well most of the time. Strict evolution explains incredibly well the evolution of species but there is weird stuff which is being uncovered all the time, like bacteria to bacteria exchange of DNA, exchange of DNA between virus and host and other weird processes. Saying that the evolution theory is wrong because it doesn't explain everything is narrow-minded and anti-scientific. Don't worry your god-given pea-brain about evolution. The theory itself will evolve to explain the weirder stuff happening around us. The only thing that can stop scientific discovery is another middle-age. If there is a god, let's pray that never happens again...

Anjin-san
Hi all, I could have a Nazi-style book burning rally in my back garden, with your book as the centre-piece. Bad start. Book burning? With reagrds to the monkey theory which you seem to dismiss out of hand, there are LOTS of mathematical equations to support it. That's not to say it's not without its critics, but there isn't a theory in the academic world that isn't. I first came across it in a book called The Philosophy of Social Science by Martin Hollis as an undergraduate at university where I spent 7 years learning and trying to understand the world around me. I didn't have access to the internet then, everything I know I've read in real books. Mathematics,...the endless solution,..... Why shouldn't I discuss Shakespeare on here? Your President, who I have the utmost respect for, was happy to use his words in his speech last night. I didn't realise this was a dumbed down forum. A separate thread maybe? our President is an idiot, plain and simple.Do you know what that he signed the guestbooks date?2008.Brilliant. I do find the images you post to be degrading to women and offensive. Wonderful! So Chutes&Ladders post photos of porn stars(Tori Black). Next. MrZoSo
You are joking MrZoso? My banning orders are many and legendery whereas Steve is as immune from being banned as one could be, his DNA must contain anti-biotics or something. Regards, Danny I am sure Steve (like EVERYONE else) has to play by the rules. I don't know anything about your banning. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter what it is. I've never reported anyone for being disrespectful, but have pointed it out to them directly from time to time. I am a guest on this forum. As such, I follow the rules. I'd like to think I don't need them, as being respectful should come natural, and understanding when not to converse with someone because I do not agree, or they do not agree, should be just as easy. Easier said then done huh.

Hi MrZoso, I'm not so sure, Steve looks in on my profile and the next thing i know is i'm banned, never seen him banned though, and he can be as disrespectful and insulting as any on here. Why just tonight he called me a "perpetually banned jerk-off" not only is that insulting but it hurt my feelings as i would rather be called a "wanker" than a "jerk-off" but it does go against forum guidelines and could result in him being banned, i hope he doesnt get banned because he is a prolific poster and a wealth of information on anything Led Zeppelin but he has had a Humour Labotomy, he cant stand anyone who stands up to him and his condecending baiting and disrespect of other forum members is sometimes beyond belief and my patience wears thin sometimes. When i see forum bullying i find it hard to keep quiet and i do go overboard at times with such people, sorry but thats how i was brought up, i have no issue with you though so peace brother. bouillon
The problem with the monkey theory is that he/she and all the other monkeys would need to be able to read, in English, to be able to determine that the complete works of Shakespeare (or anything else intelligible, for that matter) had in fact been typed. They would also require a level of literary appreciation to distinguish Shakespeare from the countless Jeffrey Archer novels the monkey had previously typed during his journey to competence. Where can I find the soft porn, btw?

SteveAJones
In 2003, lecturers and students from the University of Plymouth MediaLab Arts course used a £2,000 grant from the Arts Council to study the literary output of real monkeys. They left a computer keyboard in the enclosure of six Celebes Crested Macaques in Paignton Zoo in Devon in England for a month, with a radio link to broadcast the results on a website.[23] Not only did the monkeys produce nothing but five pages[24] consisting largely of the letter S, the lead male began by bashing the keyboard with a stone, and the monkeys continued by urinating and defecating on it. Waste of money. The same experiment would yield the same results in any Los Angeles high school classroom.

In some cases of false prophets you would be correct. It all depends on who is speaking through them. If it's Moses coming down from the mountain, it's easier to have a little faith.
