Political correctness

Recommended Posts

People actually took offense to NBC omitting the "under God" part of the pledge in a taped video segment? That's fucking hysterical. That's also really sad, but especially hysterical.

Of course Fox News would get sand in their vaginas over it. Fox News gets pissy about EVERYTHING that doesn't conform to mainstream Republican/Conservative thinking. What's really funny, is that the pledge was written by a socialist. If they knew that, they'd be pissed off NBC aired it to begin with.

Still, LOL to people getting their knickers knotted over something that stupid.

It wasn't just Fox, all news outlets posted this story. Kids in the 1910's and 20's used to give what became the facist salute during reciting this, but that got dropped in a hurry once Italy became facist and Germany went Nationalist Socialist in the 1930's and adopted some variation of this salute.

The Pledge really has a fascinating history to it.

Adding a bit of humour to this thread (I just can't help myself, you know? :P), this cartoon was made in 1952 by the legendary Tex Avrey. Honestly, even today, at age 23, this happens to be one of my favourite cartoons of all time! B) But woe-betide for the folks who tend to take the term "Political Correctness" way too seriously! Because to them, this will perhaps be one of the most "Poltically Incorrect" cartoons ever made! :o

Anyway, this is for all those folks out there who could use a good laugh and who don't care tuppence about "stereotyping"! ;)

Believe it or not, this cartoon makes me reflect back on my childhood and brings back lovely memories of times when I watched countless MGM, Warner Brothers and Hannah Barbera cartoons with my mom!

The curly hair got me.

I literally thought it was from the filming, not part of the actual animation.

Those who often complain about political correctness are often the ones that others need protection from.cool.gif

History of PC

Political Correctness started in a think tank in Germany in 1923. It was going to be called The Institute of Marxism but in order to hide its Marxist roots it became known as The Institute of Social Research. The purpose was to find a solution to the biggest problem facing the implementers of communism in Russia. Why wasn't communism spreading? Because Western Civilization was in its way with its belief in the individual and that an individual could develop valid ideas.

At the root of communism was the theory that all valid ideas come from the effect of the social group of the masses. The individual is nothing. And they believed that the only way for communism to advance was to help Western Civilization to destroy itself by undermining its foundations by chipping away at the rights of those annoying individuals. One way to do that? Change their speech and thought patterns by spreading the idea that vocalising your beliefs is disrespectful to others and must be avoided to make up for past inequities and injustices. Then use this to stifle any discussion which might show up the lack of common sense in their ideology. And call it something that sounds positive: "Political Correctness."

That is how Political Correctness came about and why it is the tool of the far left in politics. When Hitler took over Germany in 1933, the Institute moved to the USA (as most of the thinkers were Jewish). Our thanks to Bill Lind, read the full article 'The Origins of Political Correctness
