JIMMY PAGE ON THIS DAY (Archive)

This version of Dazed is good, but doesn't quite have the energy of the Zep versions which blow this away. Never liked the use of harmonica by Keith Relf with the Yardbirds versions. It just doesn't quite work with the song.

About time Jimmy...been waiting for your commentary on the Back to Club '71 tour since last week, when the tour started in Ireland 41 years ago (and hoping for your commentary on playing tracks from the 4th album live for the 1st time).

...And You Know...Today's entry is shortest on words, as far as I can remember so far

closest I can come up with is Richard Cole has quoted jimmy in Stairway to Heaven...(entire chapter is devoted to Back to Clubs Tour - Mar. 5 1971 To Apr. 1, 1971, UK/ireland;

Richard Cole - STH ...P. 150:

...When we played the Mayfair, just before the band went onstage....

.............Jimmy .."Once you have played in the big places, these small clubs are murder. It's nice to be near the audiences, but you forget how small the dressing rooms are. At this point in our careers, I think we're entitled to more luxury than this. This is really hard to believe."....

..."There wasn't much of the financial payoff, either...."

(obviously)
