Toronto Zeppelin
Yeah, I'd have to agree with others and say no one...just let them run the show
LukeTheDuke
yeah, no one: it's the only way at least White Stripes ... not too much loud
Wizard
I vote for Mother Tongue, they are just brilliant! www.myspace.com/mothertongue
Seals
I would rather pay to see them from start to finish. However, guest appearences would be good. Robert Plant and Annie Lennox would go down a storm. How about inviting a few music college students in on the act?
zephead2
The Foo Fighters. The love that Dave has for Zeppelin only makes it right
Footsteps of Dawn
The Foo Fighters. The love that Dave has for Zeppelin only makes it right Yeah, that'd be cool! I'm not the hugest Foos fan in the universe, but they're pretty good, and Dave Grohl is the man - he deserves it! (I still think they shouldn't have an opening band at all, though)
Geno56
Hypothetically, if Zeppelin did a tour and they took out a support act, who would you like to see with them? Me would like to see UFO. STAIND!!! Or HEART!! Edited December 13, 2007 by Geno56
maven2blue
for an opener, The Black Keys or Gov't Mule.
ludwigking
Heart! They were on the 77 tour.
brightred
Heart! They were on the 77 tour. I'd like to see Jet, a good rockin' band.
Footsteps of Dawn
STAIND!!! :hysterical:
Lynne
If they decided to have an opening act...they should have some unobtrusive band. NO aural onslaughts from anyone but Zep. Maybe a circus act.....a visual onslaught !! How about Iron Maiden and Led.
dcgunman
TOOL
michaelk
The White Stripes or, possibly better, The Raconteurs But I'm half-attached to the idea of a reformed Boney M opening for them as well
TypeO
I've heard The Cult is a definite possibility. definitely no opening act needed, but The Cult would be pretty fuggin' awesome to get ya warmed up for an evening of Zeppelin.
Misty
I think Pearl Jam would be stellar.
Broken Arrowe
AMEN. a no brainer. agreed, the Black Crowes would be perfect. The White Stripes would be cool, too.
Minstrel
Drive By Truckers, Gov Mule. Black Crowes, Raconteurs, Vashti Bunyan, Union Station (featuring Alison Krauss), Ann and Nancy Wilson (acoustic), Eliza Gilkyson, to name a few.....
michaelk
It depends at what venues. For example at outside venues it would be great to have Girls Aloud, Britney Spears or the Dixie Chicks supporting to allow some nostalgic Reading-style bottling before the main event. In the indoor arenas, best stick to acts such as those suggested above which complement the band.
Lynne
I agree about being noone first up but since we are all getting old and alot of people haven't even seen them yet.I haven't seen Led Zeppelin at all I had every oppurtunity but I would see Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin together. mattr
I reckon Aerosmith as they did win event of the year at the classic rock awards ( i was at that gig) and they then can do a duo with led like they did with bring it on home music is my master i here my master calling (it is calling for led zeppelin)
Leland
If I had to choose, then it would be a simple choice for me. One of my other favourite bands. Foreigner
michaelk
Well at the moment it looks like the preferred opening act would be Alison Krausse ;-) If I had to choose, then it would be a simple choice for me. One of my other favourite bands. Foreigner
Ken Murphy
I would like to see Led Zeppelin open for Pink Floyd!
damarust
i would certainly choose velvet revolver to open, just because their music is, well first of all, good, and second of all, fast. i wouldve said linkin park before that crappy minutes to midnight came along. another 70s band would always be good, better than most modern day bands just because of the style and ambient of the concert
