Can you clarify or further substantiate the one-off California date for January 1976? Do you show it was planned prior to the accident? It doesn't make sense that they would fly all the way to the west coast for a one-off unless it was tied into something else.

I'm very late to this thread, but there definitely was a January 24, 1976 makeup date for the canceled Rose Bowl Sept. 6, 1975 gig. Here's a chronology of events based on announcements in the Pasadena Star News (PSN) and L.A. Times (LAT):

- Aug 6, 1975 PSN - Announcement that 110,000 tickets are available for a Sept. 6, 1975 show at the Rose Bowl

- Aug 9, 1975 PSN - Concert "indefinitely postponed" due to Plant's accident (60,000 tickets had been sold in two days); concert will be rescheduled "as soon as possible"

- Aug 20, 1975 PSN - Rose Bowl concert rescheduled for January 24, 1976

- Sept 25, 1975 PSN - Rescheduled January 24, 1976 "still in doubt" due to Plant's injured leg; they have a "signed contract," so if Plant's leg heals they will play, if not they will cancel.

- Nov 12, 1975 PSN - "Led Zeppelin's Rose Bowl Concert Officially Canceled" due to Plant's ankle being "too weak"

- Feb 12, 1976 PSN - It mentions that the canceled January date was "postponed to an indefinite time in the summer." (This show never materialized)

Here's a few clippings for the proposed January 24, 1976 show:
