Administrators sam_webmaster Posted August 1, 2011 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2011 The search is on to find a new home for a classic car once owned by Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Bruce Screen has been the proud owner of the 1915 Ford Model T since he swapped it for another car 11 years ago. But for most of this time it has been cooped up in a locked garage gathering dust. So now the 64-year-old from Blackheath wants it to go to a museum where it can be more appreciated. "It needs to be seen and looked after," he said. "I'd be interested to hear from people with ideas about where it could go." Father-of-two Mr Screen said: "Everyone asks what it is worth but the truth is there is no way of knowing because it's unique. I'm too frightened to drive it on the roads." Anyone who can suggest a suitable museum for the car should email enquiries@cypressnursery.co.uk http://www.expressan...onhams-old-car/
ledzepfilm
Whoa, that's pretty cool. Is that the one in Bonzo's fantasy sequence?
reids
Thanks, Sam. It'd be cool to have a Led Zeppelin Museum somewhere with all of their stuff (drum sets, guitars, clothes, etc..). I'd buy a ticket to see everything. They could run movies, documentaries, exclusive concert footage, etc.. When I went to Indianola, Mississippi, I stopped by BB King Museum and they had a wonderful tribute museum set up to honor him in his hometown. MadScreamingGallery
The search is on to find a new home for a classic car once owned by Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. http://www.expressan...onhams-old-car/ This is such a great car. I don't know if the owner is interested in selling it but there are many private collectors in the U.S. who would love to own this. It also reminds me of the kind of vintage hot rods that Jeff Beck has in his collection in England. My father-in-law is/was involved in antique/classic car business (but not hot rods) and he's familiar with the major U.S. car museums - I don't know, though, if this owner would like this car to stay in England. Strider
Man, the Petersen Auto Museum in Los Angeles would be a perfect place for that car. I'm contacting them NOW!
SuperDave
Whoa, that's pretty cool. Is that the one in Bonzo's fantasy sequence? That's the one! Saw this on a news site yesterday. Thanks Sam. That car is still hot!
ledzepfilm
That's rediculous that he would give away history.
SuperDave
That's ridiculous that he would give away history. But if you can make a big profit off the sale, it would be worth it to the seller.
