The world has lost a great musician. David 'Honeyboy' Edwards was born in Mississippi in 1915.

Over the course of his long career, he performed with artists from Robert Johnson to Muddy Waters, taking his brilliant blues around the world.

He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1996.

David was still touring as recently as 2008, and continued to perform occasionally up to his last show on April 17 of this year.

I saw him at the 100 club in May 2008, he was 93! man what an amazing experience, i met him after the show and it was like talking to your Grandad, just a normal bloke who happens to know all these influences and plays the blues! got my ticket and CD signed! gotta love him in Dewy Cox!
